This is a game changer for violin!
I'm so happy I gave this a try! I play piano and am just learning violin. I am struggling with bow bounce because I am left handed and I am using my right hand for the bow, which is weak. This tool is helping strengthen my fingers, but also my forearm, which will help my wrist not shake when I'm playing (which causes the bow bounce). I am also shocked at how weak my pinkies are!

Just as pictured…
A little bit difficult for me to use at the least resistance because I’m rehabbing my hand, but it’s definitely the price. Once my hand is strong enough to do the lowest resistance this device can be adjusted to higher resistance levels. So far so good! It’s already working my weak forearm muscle groups and I know my grip strength will be back to normal in no time.

it's nice, but
it's nice, but i wish it had more range in terms of tension.my grip strength in one hand has been trending in a good direction since having surgery, but it's still less than half as strong in terms of grip strength as my now good hand (i think only roughly 24kg) , & the weakest tension on this device is closer to probably medium on a normal one. will revisit at a later time & buy some other lighter tension ones for now. thx.it is good quality, durable etc. would people not know the finger orientation w/o the numbers on each finger pad? i would hope so. but, the hand grip pad is practical since most of these are all plastic & sometimes a bit slick.

Bar chord helper
Before buying this I didn't have the finger strength to play bar chords. After using this for a month bar chords were doable. Have problems with bar chords, buy this to get over the hump...

Results in 1 week w 5 mins/day
Good design and adjustable grip. I use it when driving long distances. 1-2x per day I make up a routine that lasts maybe 2 mins total. Saw results in 1 week for left pinky strength and dexterity. Also makes me more mindful of my thumb placement on neck (of actual guitar) as well as elbow position and engaging forearm muscles when hand tires.

Rehabilitated Hand Strength and Accuracy
I’ve always been skeptical of gadgets that are supposed to help you play an instrument. I decided to try this project after a year long hiatus from playing while I recovered from multiple surgeries. I lost a lot of muscle mass and strength all over my body, hands included. I figured a little focused hand workout couldn’t hurt to help me start playing guitar again, so I decided to try this. After a week, I’m already noticing results. On day one my pinky couldn't depress the key halfway, even on the easiest difficulty. A week later I’ve actually been able to up the difficultly a few times and it’s getting easier still. I don’t know if it’s actually building muscle, so much as training my hand muscles to start working again. Playing my guitar I’m noticing less fatigue and more finger accuracy. I feel as though I’m playing with less effort and able to focus on the music, not how hard my fingers are struggling. As a result in sounding better and couldn’t be happier! I’m also experimenting with the right hand, but not sure if it’s making as much of a difference.I want to clarify that this product will not improve your musicality or technique by itself. You don’t need a ton of hand strength to get a good sound, play quickly, or anything like that. In fact, you should be pressing the string as lightly as possible when playing. In my experience this device is an incredible supplement to practice time and has been effective in my personal rehabilitation. I basically use it as a fidget toy throughout the day, but it’s one that supports my guitar playing so it’s a winner in my book. I’ll probably use this until it breaks, then buy a replacement. A+ product!

Better than varigrip pro
Better than the pro version by far, in sound level and resistance. I will note I like the hand feel (wider spaces between fingers) of the pro more than this version, but I would still recommend this higher.

Don’t Pass on This Product!
Solid product for building finger strength and flexibility. Adjustable tension settings on each of the four (4) finger pads. When compressing a given pad with the end tip of a finger any weakness is instantly revealed. Overall, a great product.
