Breakthrough first time playing!
I'm working with a 5 year old who has a lot of difficulty with numbers. He has trouble counting — he has the order of the numbers memorized, but he will point randomly at a group of objects and over- or under-count. The very first time we played with this set, counting seemed to click better for him! If he started fake "counting" (pointing randomly and saying the numbers in order) I gently reminded him to count one peg at a time as he placed it onto the board. He loved this game! I was going to start with only half of the boards, but he insisted on doing all of them.

Smooth, high quality
The media could not be loaded. This comes with twenty number chips, ten counting boards, and 55 wooden pegs in two colors. No sharp edges or rough spots but one indent. Great quality. I love that it comes with an instruction manual with ideas about how to teach new skills as children get older, so it can teach basic arithmetic. Wooden pegs are a chocking hazard so not for very littles. Great quality and very happy with this.

Great
These are great! Our 2 year old son loves putting them together while our others are doing lessons. We didn’t get any that were cheap quality or mis matching like some of the other reviews.

Nice but would be better with another bag
One square board was very warped, and the bag is a good size just for the little pieces but just too small for the wood square pieces.

Child can’t be successful , don’t recommend
I’m a Montessori trained Guide looking to homeschool a child who is 2.5 and got these. The pegs were soooo slippery, holes not deep enough for the pegs. They kept falling out. Can’t help the child be successful with their work if there is error built into the work. Returned immediately

Missing
I really like this for my son. The bad thing is that they sent me two squares with number 4. It’s missing square number 5.
