Good to have
Good to have if you are mixing modeling paints to be air brushing and the stainless steel ball bearing are great to help mixing up the paint and thinner together if they were standing or sitting for a while.

May be magnetic, but still work as paint agitators
I’ve ordered these twice to use as agitators in small pots of acrylic paints (Citadel & Army Painter). The first batch wasn’t magnetic at all when exposed to some large neodymium magnets. They also showed no signs of corrosion after a couple weeks in salt water and white vinegar (two separate bottles). The second batch was magnetic. Not a lot, but enough that I could move them around and pick some up with a magnet. Fearing the worst I did the same salt water/vinegar corrosion test and left a few in each jar for 2 months. I may have forgotten about them.Luckily there was no corrosion so I feel confident that they’ll be ok in my newer paint pots.Anyway, I hope this helps any mini painters out there looking for agitators.

Use in Airbrush Paint Bottles
I was looking for these locally but purchased it from Amazon. I put three in each small paint bottle. I can shake the bottles and thin the paint so it's easy to use. Great for my purposes.

Slightly magnetic stainless.
I left a pretty negative review on these at first, because they were slightly magnetic. Well upon further research on 304 and 316 stainless, I’m updating my review. Now these are magnetic, but NOWHERE near as magnetic as pure carbon steel. That being said upon researching magnetism in 304 & 316 stainless, both stainless metals start out non-magnetic. BUT they can become magnetic, when welded, and cold worked. So these may be 304 and they may not. There’s no real way to tell unless you get it analyzed. But they are pretty good looking bearings, and are only slightly magnetic. A good strong earth magnetic will grab them, but nowhere near the strength straight carbon steel will. You can pull the magnetic off of these really easily, unlike standard steel. So to sum it up, I’m pretty happy overall now. I do believe these are stainless that has been cold worked altering their magnetic properties a bit.But only time will tell for sure.
