I did not know mini chainsaws existed until I asked AI how to stop getting blisters on my hands when pruning and shearing. I did some research, and I decided on the SeeSii brand. I had a great time breaking down a pine tree and a piece of oak tree with this chainsaw. Who would've thought something the size of a cordless screwdriver would be so satisfying? It's not perfect. The chain comes loose once in a while. It requires cleaning and oiling despite anything the specs say. The batteries it comes with only last for 25 minutes at most. If you're doing thick cuts or sawing hardwood, your battery life probably will be less. I personally got a lot of joy out of using this chainsaw. In fact, I doubled-down and bought the 8-inch version. The battery life is double in the SiiSee 8-inch model and those extra two inches definitely help. I think any person could cut with this chainsaw. It's fun. You can make faces with it in logs too. See my attached pictures. Its main drawbacks are battery life and overheat protection. If you give it too hard of a job to do, you have to wait 20 seconds at least for it to cool down. I've had less overheat protection with the 8-inch model by the way. Oh, one other thing - the included chainsaw oil - it was leaked out in both of my SeeSiii orders. Nevertheless, it was hardly a deal breaker.Update a couple weeks later: This mini chainsaw requires maintenance. Your chain will jam/fall off the mini chainsaws teeth and your chain tightening screw will slowly strip. However, I have no doubt all mini chainsaws need be tuned and maintained. Just don't think working with one of these is going to be all rainbows and butterflies ;-)

What a great deal! If you're looking for an easy to use chainsaw to clear up branches and small trees, don't be intimidated. Using full PPE and watching some YouTube videos, I very easily cleared up many small trees/vines/branches around the yard. As noted in other reviews, the battery came with enough charge to get to work right away, which was a nice surprise. The only issue I had was user error as I was learning on it, and did get the chain stuck a little bit. Practice on smaller trees/branches first to get used to it.Size and weight wise, it is definitely enough for one hand. Safety wise I'd still recommend being very careful or using two hands to get a handle on. Follow the instructions in terms of how big a tree you want to cut. Unless you're an expert arborist, it's likely best to stick to 4 inches and smaller.Great device for the price!

Great little saw, performs as described. The only issue is if you are left handed. There is a button on the left side of the handle that you must keep depressed along with the control on the bottom of the saw. You can’t do this in your left hand. I am not as coordinated or as strong with my right arm. I had to find a right handed person for the task. I will say as a 75 year old woman, was still able to trim small tree limbs with it.

I was hesitant to buy this because it was very inexpensive but it arrived today and my husband and I went out in our yard and cut up several branches and it worked surprisingly well. It is easy to hold, very lightweight and cut through small branches very easily. We tried to cut a few of the long fire log pieces that we have that do not fit in our wood slitter and it cut through very smoothly. For the price, you can not beat it. It appears to be very safe to use, has a safety button that you have to push in order to start it. It seems powerful enough to use for cleaning up large branches. No assembly required to use it except but the battery on it. The batteries came fully charged. Good product FOR THE PRICE. If you are expecting a top of the line mini chain saw, this is not it. It is on the cheaply made side, but it looks like it will do the jobs we need it for.

The little chainsaw that could.The good:Cut down 11 fully mature (about 20 ft. tall) arborvitaes like a champ and cut them up into manageable sizes. It seems a lot more robust then I thought it might be for a cheap tool.The bad:Like all chainsaws it needs to be oiled to prevent the chain from locking up, but there's no tank (that I could find) meaning you need to stop between cuts and manually lubricate it. The batteries lasted about 3 trees before needing to be recharged, wished they went longer but what can you do. The time it takes to discharge the batteries is a lot faster than the charge time, you'll probably need 4 of them with 3 chargers on rotation if you don't want to have to stop for charging on a job that's going to take more than half the day. The kit I got came with 2 batteries and 1 charger.The could be better:The chainsaw cover cannot be placed on the blade if you intend to store the chainsaw in the provided toolbox, it just doesn't fit.Overall:Can't speak to the longevity of the tool, but the initial impressions are positive.As long as the price stays around 40 bucks this is a very nice tool to have in your kit. I'm not going to cry when it does breakdown. Simply completing this one job with nothing but this little guy makes me feel like I got my monies worth out of it. It doesn't show any signs of slowing down yet, so I predict I'll get a few more seasons out of it.

If I could give this item 10 Stars I would!! It's probably the BEST item I have ever purchased on Amazon. I was able to use this mini chainsaw to top off a Crape Myrtal that was 3 stories tall!!! So impressive for such a lil chainsaw. I used it to trim big limbs off a Holly Tree as well. Being a female, a regular chain saw is so heavy and a little scary to use. I have recommended this mini chainsaw to all my friends and family. I also love the fact it came with 2 batteries. You can't go wrong with purchasing it!
