I was a bit worried based on other reviews… My craving for tteokbokki won and I decided to take a risk. I’m glad I did! I inspected the package upon arrival and they were fine. No signs of mold or any odd smells. Now I did use all three packages because I was cooking for the family, so I can’t speak as to how these would do on longer term pantry storage. I opened all the packages and soaked the rice cakes in warm water for about 10 minutes, as I did the food prep and made the sauce. Then I rinsed them with cold water and strained. I didn’t experience any splitting or cracking. I made a rose tteokbokki with heavy cream, and used bacon and mini sausages instead of fish cakes - as we have folks that can’t do seafood in the household. I didn’t boil the tteokbokki long, maybe 5 minutes. I kept checking their texture as I stirred and determined that time frame produced the chewy level that I wanted. Dinner was a big success! I would purchase these again in the future.

I have ordered these a few times. Once, only once, one of the bags had mold, but the package had been damaged. Otherwise, all is great. Love the product.

Great product. We love these rice cakes. They cook up well & very quickly. Nice & chewy. Packets are small, so you can alter a recipe to make one serving, if you'd like.

Was super nervous to buy this product after reading some of the reviews, but I've been curious to try tteokbokki for sometime now.. so I bit the bullet so to speak.. I added this to the water before boiling and the cooked my buldak cream carbonara to package instructions, added some kd cheese powder and enjoyed. The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy and was the perfect compliment to my ramen.. am still excited to try it in a more classic setting with gochujang eventually but I love it as a toss in for ramen so far..

I purchased these rice cakes with the expectation of enjoying a healthy snack, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing.Upon receiving the package, I immediately noticed condensation inside the packets. Though I came across a few positive reviews, I thought I was one of the fortunate ones who invested wisely in a quality product. Unfortunately, I couldn't have been more mistaken.Within an incredibly short span of just two days, mold began to grow on my remaining packs of rice cakes. This is utterly unacceptable! Not only does it signify poor quality control, but it also poses a serious health hazard for consumers. Consuming moldy food can lead to foodborne illnesses, which makes this issue not just about product dissatisfaction, but a concern for public health.I am baffled as to why Amazon continues to allow the sale of such a product on their platform. It is alarming that such a reputed online marketplace is enabling a vendor to potentially endanger the health of its customers.I strongly believe this product should be removed from Amazon's listings immediately. I sincerely hope that appropriate action will be taken to address this alarming issue. Until then, I would strongly advise potential buyers to steer clear of this product for the sake of their health.

The texture is unique, everyone definitely has an acquired taste. The size package and affordability is good
