Lovely tools
Very fun item to use. I've only used the. Once so far but it made perfect sized balls of dough for a cookie I made. Easy release, you just push on the bottom and out it comes. Simple.

1st time using, last time using.
Used it for the first time today and it broke. A simple batch of cookies. Scoops 1-9, just fine. Scoop 10, not again. The teeth, hooks, or whatever you call them that pull with the thumb press are made with plastic. 3 of them snapped off simply trying to get the cookie dough out.You get what you pay for, and this proved it. I’ll look for metal going forward.Either they’re cheaply made or I got a faulty one. Either way…terrible experience for me.

So much better than my scoops with gears
These work great! My hands aren't as strong as they used to be, and these work better than my scoops with gears. Easier to clean as well.

I don't use them for cookies.
I use these to make meatballs. I can easily scoop out meatballs in no time. I can choose to leave them as is or I can put a little oil on my hands and smooth them out in the traditional method. I like to make a big batch of meatballs, and bake them in the oven, and if I have more than I need for a meal I can freeze the rest. I like the smaller meatballs for soups and stews. Little tiny chicken meatballs for chicken soup are great. Or Italian sausage meat meatballs for an Italian-inspired stew. It all goes over very well in my family.
