well made
These worked great. Easy to install and well constructed. We installed in our garage for organization and good use of wall space. Would recommend.

Ignore Amazon's "Top Customer Review"; Installed Correctly, Proslat Rocks.
After extensive research, and despite reading the "top customer review" by B. Riley about its "failure" roughly a month later, I ordered two Proslat 8x4-foot sections for my garage from Amazon on October 23, 2017.Four days after placing my order, I installed these sections in my garage (please see first photo).Roughly 10 months later, I offer the following if you're considering buying this product:First, while my install was slightly easier than B. Riley's because of its exposed studs vs. drywall, if you're able to properly locate studs beneath drywall, then the Proslat-provided screws are long and sturdy enough to securely fasten every horizontal slat to the wall.Second, I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about regarding "brittle screws." There is no need to buy/use "better" screws to install this. I used the screws Proslat provided and I've had zero problems. Also, Proslat provides far more screws than you will need if you install this per their instructions, and the company also provides the square-drive screwdriver bit you'll need for your drill.Next, I also ordered/use official Proslat hangers on my Proslat wall. These things are beefy and well-constructed, but there are MANY cheaper peg-board/MDF/nock-off versions of these items available on Amazon or at your local hardware store (which probably explains why the "top reviewer's" stuff fell off the wall. Proslat actually sells specific bike-hangers, by the way, which are designed to hold up to 75 pounds: https://www.amazon.com/Proslat-13028-Vertical-Designed-Slatwall/dp/B00HUDH7YC)In summary:1. Despite the negative review of "B. Riley," all you need to do is follow the installation instructions and use Proslat-brand hooks to create an incredibly strong and reliable storage/organization system.2. Based on my Amazon purchase, I think the Proslat system is awesome, and I plan to buy a few more sections if/when the price drops again. I've received several compliments from family members, friends and even my mailman about how great this system looks/works.3. Finally, I do not work for Amazon or Proslat, nor did I receive any benefit for endorsing this product.cjrEDIT: On August 13, 2018, I purchased two more 8x4 Proslat sections from Amazon to finish my garage wall. I'll install them later this autumn, when my garage isn't so hot.EDIT: On October 8, 2018, I installed two more 8x4 Proslat sections, which finished the east-side of my garage (see second photo). I also added Proslat shelves and baskets, as well as a second 20-piece hook kit (item #11004), both by Proslat and available on Amazon.

Can't wait to cover the next wall floor to ceiling!
I purchased the Proslat wall three weeks ago. I read ALL the reviews. Thanks to everyone who wrote one. I appreciate the tools to make an informed decision.Normally, I wait longer to write a review....just to make sure the product doesn't disappoint down the road. I don't feel a need to wait on this purchase. This wall is "rock solid", beautiful, well made....pick a positive adjective...that's how I feel. I was leery about too much weight after the bicycle review, but I had no plans to hang anything heavier than 30 pounds and had plenty of space for weight dispersal. After installing the wall I am confident it could handle much more than I have to challenge it.Shipping was on time and well packaged. The slats arrived in excellent condition. I watched the YouTube video several times and read the directions as well. The installation was easy and straightforward. (Make sure to wait for the click when you seat one panel into another. A tiny pound with my fist was all it took to seat it and I didn't doubt when it happened. Thanks to another reviewer's tip to pay attention to that!)I spent more time on the installation than most others who have reviewed this item. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I spent quite a bit of time "mapping" the area, locating studs and drawing level lines as guides. I took my time, working on it intermittently, but I would guess we spent a total of two hours putting it up. The screws provided were perfectly adequate (zero issues), the bit for the drill was very handy but did start wearing toward the end. Take a tip from my brilliant husband on the bit....he carefully filed off the very end with a metal file and voila, a fresh bit.I love this slatwall and am planning to do another (floor to ceiling next time) in a few months.UpdateSeveral months later I am still thrilled with this purchase. I’ve added additional items and the wall is still as solid as a rock.

Functional, easy to install, looks good, though not quite seamless. Expensive hooks.
Overall, I think it is a fair value, when comparing different product options.Installing is pretty straightforward. Just have to take your time, use a studfinder to find and mark the studs, make sure to check for live wires in the wall and mark those, establish a level line and fasten it to every stud. The plastic material was a bit thinner and lighter than I had hoped, but will suffice for a garage wall to hang powertools and garden tools on that do not get used all that frequently.A couple panels had scuff marks from however they were handled in the factory, and one had a chipped corner, but I needed to trim down all pieces to less than 8 feet, so that was not an issue. The end result is not as a seamless as shown in the pictures. At eye level and above you can see how the two panels meet. Double triple checked the install and watched the video. Still looks clean & neat. Just not super clean. The panels do attract some dust in the garage, like a plastic static charged item. The biggest downside I'd say is the cost of the custom brackets. They charge top dollar for every single item, and when you order the big hooks and small pegs combo pack; they're all just loose thrown into a brown box and get scraped up a little during handling and transport. All in all pleased with the flexibility and result. The big hooks are quite sturdy, and they have an adjustable locking tab with thumb screw on the bottom, which was a safety consideration in my purchase. That way the hook is locked in place at top and bottom, and doesn't jump off (accidentally) when you are trying to lift an time off of a hook and fall to the ground, perhaps damaging or breaking a stored item lower down, ding a car, injure a child reaching for a sports item, ...
