The story and its writing is beautiful, I was able to finish the whole series in a couple of weeks but it was still enjoyable to read!! I do recommend to remember thattjhe books are a sequel but not in the same universe as the movie no matter what people say or try to say. But still. I think anyone of any age who love fantasy and twist on fairy tales would love this series!! Big recommened for people who are are those type of people!! Also the poster is also wonderful!

I've been wanting to read this series for a long time. I found the first book at a thrift store and started reading it to my kids. I wish we had gotten it sooner! Such a good story! Has great character building, and believable mythical creatures. My children are 6, 10, and 12. All of them are listening to it and Pitch isn't too scary for any of them. They love discovering the new gaurdians in each book and hearing their back stories.

My son loves to read and has 2 sons that he reads the books with. They are at the age of being able to read this level. Good family time for them.
