If you need a good quality pet gate get this one! The problem we had with the gate we had before was our dog could stick his strong little paw on the bottom of the gate a pop it open. I can't see that happening with this one. I also love that I don't have to close it behind me. Especially when my arms are full.

I have this in the shorter and this taller versions. The shorter version doesn’t move like the tall one does on the wall. The tall one works well, latches well but does have a higher tendency to “kick” the bottom some causing it to move ever so slightly sliding on the wall. I never noticed until I could see some marks on the wall from it rubbing. But all in all it works perfectly to keep the dogs out of the area we don’t want them in.

We ordered 2 of these so we could slowly integrate our new rescue pup into our household. They are solid, well built. Would definitely buy again.

I use this gate on my bedroom door to keep the dogs out during the day so the cats can have their own space and I don't have to worry about them getting in the litter box and all that. I had a different baby gate previously that lasted me almost 8 years but it finally broke and when replacing it I decided to go with this one because I really liked the look and color over the majority of designs that are glaringly bright white and stand out against my decor (not to mention get coated it dirt and slobber from all the dogs, I watch dogs for a living so we have a lot).The part that I don't like however is that you have to lift up hard when opening the gate and honestly it's a pain, but not enough to make me sacrifice the look of the gate. (I imagine it might be easier the taller you are, but I'm only 5'2" so the height is at a weird angle for lifting) I also don't really like that it automatically swings shut behind you, be careful with small animals or children. I understand how that could be helpful in theory but I'd rather have the option to leave the gate open sometimes without having to prop it on something, and safety-wise my cat got himself stuck in the gate once already as he tried to run through after me as it was closing. The gate swung closed and locked itself around his mid section and I had to run back and lift it open again to free him.I still like the gate, especially aesthetically, but there are definitely pros and cons to the latch style.

Best gate, ever!Easy to assemble, perfect height. I have the 39” tall model. Latch works easily, swings open about 110 degrees both toward and away from you. Using it to separate an older, temperamental cat from a new rescue 8 month old male kitten. The bars are close enough together to keep him out of her space, while she gets her hissy fits out of the way. A younger kitten could squeeze through, but at 8 lbs when he was adopted, he was already too big to squeeze through. He could jump it if he really wanted to, but hasn’t even tried.She likes having her space, and he likes the freedom to be on the main floor, and the kitchen!It’s helping with the introductions, and looks nice. The walk through feature is priceless. I use a large rubber door stopper to keep it from closing when not in use.I tried a taller style, 72” from a different seller, but it was so tall and heavy, that if it ever came loose and fell, it could have really hurt someone.Got the brown for the living area and the white for the kitchen/basement entrance. Both look great.At under $50, it’s a great value. Would also be excellent for toddlers.

This gate is fantastic, I love the tall height my dogs cannot jump it. It is easy to install, opens and closes easily, is very sturdy and easy to move from one location to the other. This keeps my dogs safe from anything that would hard them and keeps them in an area away from guests so that they do not bother others and yet they can still see out.

This works great for our 2 cats. They are 13 pounds and 19 pounds. I don’t recommend it for lighter. They will try to stick their head through the bars. We fixed it so they couldn’t do that.

Solid gate, looks good and is easy to install.
