What you see is pretty much what you get. Don't expect any miracles and you'll be satisfied enough.It comes with a strap that goes around the bed, and a cover that sits over the gap and is held is place by a combination of friction and the strap. The strap is super cheap. Don't try to tighten it too much, or it'll give way and possibly break. It's chintzy plastic. The cover falls into the gap almost immediately. It'll only indent maybe an inch, so it's better than nothing. Still not really great.This won't make your two twin XLs into a king bed. Probably nothing will. If it's important that you be able to cuddle right on the middle, or whatever, then I'm afraid that nothing but a king will do for you. But if you're okay with having two separate beds, this product makes the experience a little more convenient.

For my application, the filler piece that attaches to the 10" overlay is filled with some kind of polyester fill and it just was not wide enough for the spread between my two twin mattresses (which was about 3"). Therefore the bridge just fell through between them. I just happen to have some thick foam that I was able to put between the mattresses. Only then I could lay this bridge on top over the foam; pulled the strap around the mattresses together as much as I could possibly pull. With all of that it seems to be holding the bridge up and in place. Just will have to advise my guests to stay off the middle of the bed. If you have a decent space between the mattresses, I recommend another solution.

I've had this for a couple years and it's been a constant struggle. The latch on the strap to go around the beds is flimsy and you don't dare tighten it. Eventually I would just forego the patch and I'd tie the straps together in a knot, but that unfortunately didn't prevent the straps from traveling around.The middle piece was exactly as another reviewer put it 'too dainty' to stand up to daily use and very quickly would sink down between the mattresses and become part of the problem. I don't know if they've fixed this since then, but it's a little cloth-covered tube that velcros into the main middle piece. It needs to be attached, because the velcro is not strong enough to keep it adhered.This is the only experience I've had with a bed bridge. I feel like the idea should work, but not this iteration of it, sadly.

We thought we were grown, upgrading our life. We went and got an adjustable bed that was actually a double. It was the worst decision we have ever made. We literally were falling in the gap. It literally saved my life now to do the adjusting we push the button on the remotes at the same time. However we fix that we went on Amazon and got the purple mattress topper it looks like an egg crate. Then we got the 3 inch mattress topper to go on top of that which is why that’s also here on Amazon. My bed now feels like heaven and I don’t want to get out of it. I can roll over and not feel any groves or anything and it stays in place because of the extra toppers that I have. I can be with my honey anyway I want to how I want to whenever I want to because of this little tiny device and I am so stoked please get this and end the double bed that nightmare. Unless you’re older and have no sex life and just a companion then don’t get it but if you need it get it .....good day sir or ma’am if you’re wondering why this review seems kind of splotchy it’s because I did voice dictation because I’m too lazy to type ...

This product probably works better on traditional mattresses.I have a pair of Twin XLs from Purple and it just doesn't work as well as I expected.The bed has 3 layers, the bottom two of which are foam. The strap cuts in at the corners, and every few days slides up over the top or down under the bed.The strip going down between the two mattresses also forms a bump more than anything. I'm guessing it has to do with the shape of the bed...its not curved enough normally, and when the bed pushes down it seems to push the filler back out of the crack.
