Sipoe Lighter keeps on going, going and going
The last electric lighter I had was over 50 years ago, yes I am that old. Not sure where I purchased it from but it wasn't Amazon. Needless to say that it was unique for the time period. It was before USB cables so you slid a little button and the two pronges came out of the bottom then you plugged it into a 110 volt wall outlet. Anyway some where along the line I lost it or left it plugged into some wall outlet at some bar.For some reason I decided to see what was available on Amazon and decided to purchase the Sipoe lighter, While sitting in our attached garage having a Cig ( the only place indoors I'm allowed to smoke, married 54 years, mostly good after she got me trained) . I wonder how long a full charge would continue to light. I fully charged the lighter and start to count the number of times the lighter elements would glow. Each depression of the activation button was held for 2 to 3 seconds which is the time required to light a smoke. I would do this for 10 times and let the lighter rest for 1 minute as the area around the the heating area would get a little warm, The lighter continued to function flawlessly for 80 times. At the 80 count mark, when the lighter was activated, the elements would light up and glow but would shut down by itself before the 2-3 second hold on mark had been reached. I would then release the button wait 10-15 seconds and try again. The elements would light up and glow but shut down as before. The battery charge indicator was on ONE light This went on for another 10 tries until when the lighter was actived the elements would not glow. I then let the lighter rest for 10 minute and tried again. The elements continued to glow as before for another few depression. In my garage experiment, it indicates the lighter on one charge was able to give 80 full power activation to the elements necessary to light the smokes. That would be 4 packs. Not sure how many candles that would be or other objects that needed to be lit. In conclusion the fit and finish of the lighter is good. It has a nice weight to it and the battery charge light are nice and bright. No problem with the short insersion of the UBS cord. Appears to have realistic duration for functing as a lighter. Good chance I will not leave it in some computer while paying Bingo or at some ones funeral. As of this report I would give it 5 Stars. My one suggestion on how to get a fast clean light with out dirtying the elements is to not touch the elements withe smoke or what ever. I place the cig. just above the elements and take a couple of intake puffs. This cause a small flame to be generated by the elements which is suck up to the tip of the smoke and lights the entire end with out touching the elements.Looking forward to see how long the lighter continues to function. Will keep posted on any new duration tests conducted while in the garage.

Confiscated by TSA
Love these lighters and have flown with them several times. On my last flight, two were confiscated by the TSA. I like them so much I ordered more and had one delivered to my next destination so I didn’t have t fly with it.

Easiest lighter to use
This is my second lighter because it mysteriously disapeared when my daughter visited. I love candles and this is the only lighter I can get to light because of my arthritis.

Must have for elderly, or anyone really.
Bought this for my grandmother in law who has a hard time using her hands to light her lighter and so i found her this lighter, and lets just say im the favorite now because she is just in awe with it. It holds a charge. Easy to open and lights better than a lighter. Shes had it a few months now and still going strong.

A gamble for garbage which I lost
I must add to my initial essay:When Amazon learned of my disability they refunded the price without asking me to return the defective lighter. Grazie. This serves as a warning. A warning that others have posted about but I chose to ignore; to take my chances. You see I am an invalid and Amazon supplies me with almost everything I need. There are risks and those of you who are disabled or quite old will concur: we must often waste money because the world doesn’t conform, let alone notice, and that everyday chores which well people do unconsciously are unsurmountable to us. So I won’t return the lighter. To manage a return involves hiring someone to print the label, packaging the defective item, and waiting for a shipping company. Easily a hundred bucks. For that price my lighter should be sterling; should be beautiful; it should work.Okay. Details. The lighter arrived two days ago fully charged. It’s beautiful, elegant, and arrives in a sturdy gift box with a USB charger cord and a small brush. A flip of the cap. Dazzling blue lights come alive up one side indicating battery percentage and the ignite swith. I smoked more than usual that night because lighting up with this flameless Star-Trek-type item was cool. And fun.I plugged it in to charge and the battery lights indicator came on. The lights wax and wane like the tide. Again, cool. It charged fully with four round balls of blue light in just about 25 minutes. I smoked some more. That’s the last time it charged. At first, moving the cord around in the charge port would make the blue lights flash on for a moment but within minutes even that wouldn’t work. The lighter simply won’t charge. It’s now dead. Beautiful but useless. So my attempt to stop using plastic disposable lighters is a crash/burn.With no fire.As you read reviews you’ll note that half of them love this lighter snd half of us bought a worthless piece of technology. The question for you is: do you feel lucky?
