I have not started building yet, have not build a wood boat in a long time. Everything looks to be there. Instructions look great. Can't wait to start

Be patient, take your time, and have fun with this model kit. I am probably halfway through (hull planking completed) and I am really enjoying this build. Lots of fabrication and modifications to wooden parts. Not something you will slap together in a few days. This particular kit is a good way to get into this hobby as it has many features commonly found on the bigger more complicated kits. I am changing the paint scheme, dark blue instead of red. I will come back and load a picture when it is completed.

After totally and irrevocably messing up the hull planking, I got in contact with Model Shipways asking how much it would cost to buy that part of the kit containing the aforementioned construct so I could try it again. Within two weeks, I received all the parts necessary at no charge, including shipping. Now isn't that a great and classy organization to do business with?

As expected this is a project that has and will continue to provide this old fart's retirement.

Instructions are better than most. A nice kit for someone who want's to build a ship model, but doesn't want to do a lot of rigging. A very pretty finished product.
