Super powerful! Don't buy this if your tank is 7ft or less. I bought the bigger version initially, not realising just how powerful this piece of equipment is. Great value for money!

These are fine for the money, they're quiet and they do the job. I bought a couple of these to trial them as they were around 25% of the cost of the more expensive ones I have moving the claimed volume of water. My issue...... These definitely do not move the volume of water stated. It's still substantial and I believe will be more than enough for most people but not the volume I needed. The other issue is no adjustability on the fan speed so it's on max all the time. Again fine for my aquarium but not for a smaller aquarium if over spec'd. The aquarium's I ended up fitting these to are 3m in length and I would suggest the dead spot is around 1.5 to 2m in.

This is very powerful. Used in a 400l tank and it moved the sand around. Had to remove one of the impellers. Great for a bare bottom tank

Very, very powerful, ideal for use in my eight foot marine aquarium, but it hums quite noticeably. I'm not using it at the moment due to the noise. I hope to use it after I've had a go at making it quieter, possibly alter to a different type of mount. Shame really as, as I said it's very powerful!

When buying power heads, wave makers or anything that goes into a fish tank, one of the main points a designer should consider is the length of the power lead. When the wave maker is inside the tank, this lead will not even reach to the bottom of the outside of the tank so it requires an extension lead to reach the sockets either on the wall or inside the tank stand unit. Rather annoying because it’s not too bad as a less powerful wave maker.
