All-new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition Case, Lightweight and Foldable Protective Cover - Premium Leather

This cover feels good in my hand and does a good job of protecting the Kindle. I like how the Kindle turns on automatically when the cover is open. One thing about the cover that I wasn't expecting (not really a bad thing) is that the leather distresses easily. I started noticing scratches on the cover almost immediately, even though I don't treat it rough.

I absolutely adore this premium leather case for my Colorsoft. I’ve been wanting to purchase Amazon‘s own brand of leather cases for a while now however the previous generation leather case was not up to par. I really like this one and I’m so glad I bought it. Yes, it does scratch easily, but I think that’s a given considering this is genuine leather. You even get the leather smell, which I love. As you can see from my photos, the top and bottom of the Kindle are bare, so you may want to take that into consideration if you will be using this flip case as your go to case when you are out and about, but other than that, the rest of the Kindle is completely covered. I also really like the fact that when I am reading, the cover of the case magnetically attaches to the back and it makes it much easier to hold the Kindle for long periods of time. In addition to that, it also does not add too much bulk or weight to the Kindle so Again it’s easy to hold for long periods of time. Overall, I really like this case and I am really happy with my purchase.

Not worth the money ($64.99). The leather is paper thin and scratches easily -- not "Premium Leather" as claimed in the description. There was no "authentic scent from the leather tanning process" as claimed in the description. I love the ruby color. The Kindle Paperwhite fits nicely in the case. The quality is poor, so I am not sure how long the case will last. I would not purchase again.

I ordered this for my colorsoft (although I will be probably be receiving the replacement for that). I wanted to take advantage of Black Friday. I’m so glad I finally ordered a leather case after having owned so many candles over the years I never caved in. Ruby ended up being a perfect choice. Super classy, smells good, feels super soft lightweight but well made. The picture doesn’t do any Justice. Don’t be swayed; ignore the complaints on “fingernail scratches” people just don’t have anything positive to say these days. It’s leather, that’s what it does! I would say maybe walnut might show more scuffs but I’ve seen on Reddit people put mink oil or conditioner and it looks perfect and ages well.

This is a very nice and functional leather cover. It’s not a shiny finish; it’s more of a matte finish, which is exactly what I was looking for and is similar to a much older version that I loved. It shows little scratches, etc. but that’s part of the aging process. It has a very nice feel to it. I’ve seen complaints about it “scratching”, but this is how the finish is designed for feel and grip, and to gracefully age. Duh. I highly recommend it.

Very nice case with a very soft, real leather cover that will patina nicely overtime. The case is magnetic to put the device to sleep and wake it up automatically as you open and close it.I do think it is a little expensive, but if you want a beautiful feeling natural leather that will wear overtime and age like a real leather book, this is the case.Ignore the reviews saying it wears easy (patina is not wear) or that the leather is untreated. That is the whole point :)

Best Kindle yet, and I've owned them all. Great, slightly larger screen, good contrast and warm color. Slightly thicker but still feels good in your hand.

This is the third premium leather case from Amazon that I have purchased. I bought the first one, for the Kindle Voyage, and the second one for the Oasis. I bought this one for the Colorsoft.All of these are made of untreated leather. It has no coating to protect it. It's going to pick up the oils from your fingers, and it's going to get scratched and stained. And that's the whole point! Over time the leather will develop a patina that will make each cover unique, like an old leather bomber jacket or a comfy pair of cowboy boots.If you want your cover to always look as good as the day you bought it, stick with the cloth or the plant leather covers. If you want a cover that looks like you actually USE your Kindle, a cover that develops its own personality, then this is the one you want.Please note that the ONLY Amazon cover that is water-resistant is the fabric cover. The plant leather and premium leather covers should not be used in the bath tub or any place where they may get wet.
