I am a home builder and have many clients asking for “farmhouse” fixtures. I have ordered many on here as well as some from my lighting suppliers. I have purchase some that are far more expensive than this one, but inferior in quality. This light is built to last. Many others here on amazon that are cheaper but are flimsy and cheap. This light is extremely sturdy and fit/finish are great. I was so happy with the first test one we ordered I immediately ordered 3 more. The only negative is the weight. They extend so far out and the bulk of the weight is at its furthest point they really pull hard on the electrical box.

These have been installed on my barn for approx 4 months. They have faded so bad - they look like they’ve been installed for years. I spent way too much on something that is rated “outdoor” and already looks awful in 4 months time! :-(I don’t recommend these lights!!

These are well made and very attractive lights. I am very pleased with their look and construction. The manufacturer notes that a round utility box is best, and this is absolutely true. In my case, this has required some work to ensure re-enforcement in the wall for a new steel utility box. Some extra work, but worth it to ensure the mount endures. I think the outcome looks terrific. Perfect for our craftsman style home. If you have a round or octagonal box already firmly mounted, your installation will be a piece of cake.Update: one porcelain socket was loose upon installation. Seller responded immediately with replacement and shipping tracking. Terrific experience overall with product and seller.

High quality. Precision machined threads and powder coated steel. Heavy ceramic bulb socket with brass contacts. Plenty of wire to work with. Very heavy product. Better be mounting this on a galvanized steel electrical back box. A round one of course. And make certain it is properly affixed to its mount as well. Like I said, this is heavy.

Top quality, and despite some of the reviews to the contrary, NOT that difficult to assemble. If you expect any large light fixture to come fully assembled, then you should be hiring an electrician—plain and simple.I’m a tiny bit dubious about the finish on the light, yet it’s held up for months of extreme sun and heavy storms and there’s no sign of fading so far.Overall an EXCELLENT fixture (actually we ordered a few of them) that’s built to last! If your electrical box/siding can handle the weight, you won’t have a thing to worry about.

Exactly what I wanted. A classic, yet modern-looking light above my garage door. It's very solid and looks great. For mounting, I picked up a black cast steel box, drilled a couple holes for some heavy stainless steel screws to mount to a stud where I placed it. Worked great.Couple little cons (though none that would keep me from purchasing again):- After assembling, you can see a small bit of bright steel between the shade and the housing it attaches to. Detracts a little from the all-black appearance (or whatever color you might have). A little spray paint did the trick, but slightly annoying.- There is a small pinhole in the spun steel shade. You can't see it until it's dark out and you turn on the light. Again, simple fix, but still, just a touch annoying.Installation Tip: using some string, tie one end over and over in a knot until it's about the size of the inside diameter of the pipe. Then push it into the pipe and either blow hard or use an air compressor to blow the knot through to the other side. Now you can tie/tape the string to the wires and pull them through pretty easily.Overall, great product, and I will definitely buy again if the need arises.

Fit and Finish are Very Good.Ceramic bulb holder is very Robust.Quality is comparable to lamps sold elsewhere for 3 times the price.One vendor was asking $ 95 for the Gooseneck arm alone!Their China cost: Approx. $7.50Mechanical Engineer Thumbs Up!

This review is for the 16 inch gooseneck in dark bronze. We are renovating an old barn-turned-cabin, so this barn light this was exactly what were looking for to replace an old street lamp the previous owner had installed as temporary lighting.The delivery was quick, and the product arrived in perfect condition. The light looked exactly like the advertised photos, and material/construction were sturdy and high quality. The process was quick to put the few pieces together; the light was easy to install and added the perfect finishing touch to the exterior.
