"Powerful, Compact, and Reliable – A Beast of a Vacuum!"
I've been using the Vacmaster Professional Beast Series 5-Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vacuum for a few months now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best shop vacs I've ever owned.Performance: The suction power is outstanding. Whether it's sawdust, drywall debris, or water from a small leak, this vacuum handles it all with ease. The 5.5 Peak HP motor lives up to the "Beast" name – it's incredibly strong and efficient.Portability & Size: Despite its powerful motor, the unit is compact and lightweight enough to move around the garage, workshop, or even up stairs without any hassle. The 5-gallon tank is a great middle ground — large enough for most cleanup jobs but still easy to empty and store.Build Quality: Very solid and durable construction. The hose and attachments feel sturdy, not flimsy like with some other brands. The cord length is generous, and the onboard storage for tools is super convenient.Noise Level: For a vacuum this powerful, it’s surprisingly quiet. It’s not silent, of course, but it’s much less shrill than other wet/dry vacs I’ve used.Versatility: I love that it handles both wet and dry messes seamlessly. It's been a game changer for car detailing and cleaning up around the house and garage.Final Thoughts: If you're looking for a compact, powerful, and well-built wet/dry vac, the Vacmaster Beast is a fantastic choice. It's earned a permanent place in my workshop. Highly recommend!

Beat the Heck Out of Ridgid
I got the 5.5 HP 5 gallon Beast Series, and boy, does this thing live up to it's name. Was able to cut my vac time in half with the power of this little monster v.s. what I used to do with my 5 HP 4 Gal Ridgid vacuum, AND I had the special tools to go with the Ridgid vac. I used the stock tools that came with the Beast and it even removed a ton of pet hair from the back of a Porsche, wish I took before/after pics because it looked like a snow field. I didn't take those pics because I did not expect such an outstanding performance for a vacuum that I paid less money for and got all of the essential attachments and accessories I need to knock the job out.If you have a Ridgid or are considering one, turn the other way and bow down to THE BEAST.

Wonderful vacuum. Great pressure even after long hose.
This vacuum is fantastic. I got it for my basement workshop where I have metal and wood lathes. I combined it with a cyclone separator w/ 5 gal drum. The static pressure is actually good enough to hold great suction after a 16 foot hose and cyclone. It tucks away nicely under my bench, too. Super happy with this vacuum. I've been using it for a couple of months now. Surprisingly compact and seems reliable so far. With the cyclone inline, it stays clean and it's easy to just dump the bucket. Highly recommend getting a cyclone if you are using this as a stand-alone shop vacuum.

great power and great size
I only have it a four for one reason, I had to buy the brush attachment. Maybe that's normal these days. This vacuum is great. Probably my best purchase of 2025. I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this. It's a bit difficult to find attachments but for now I'm managing. As far as vacuum, it's great and works as good if not better than a car wash vacuum. Today I used the blower to dry off my car. I'm in love!!!! Is it better than a dedicated blower, no but it allows me to get dual use out of the unit. I blow off sections, then I have my rag in the other hand to make it go faster. What is great is it dries the towel while I use it!!! I'm going to buy a crevice tool and rubberize it to blow off my car. Would have been really nice to have locking wheels. Besides a few down sides I love it and recommend it highly for car cleaning.

This vaccuum is exactly what I was looking for.
I wanted a shop vac mostly for being able to vacuum my car, but also to have something for DIY/home repair projects where vacuuming would save a lot of time over constantly sweeping up. Also wanted to have a vacuum with a decently long hose for those situations where our upright vacuum just isn't ergonomic or convenient. This thing fit the bill perfectly. I got it as an open-box special, so it was a great deal (less than $70, normally $100). I decided it was better to save money on an open box model without the wheels and then get a furniture dolly for it. That way if I'm in a situation where I don't want it to roll/move, I can just unhook the bungee cords and take it off the wheels easily. With the 5.5 peak HP motor, this thing has more suction than the pay-vacuum at our local car wash. I'm gonna get a reducing adapter for it so I can hook it up to my power tools that have a suction port. I'm also considering getting one of those carpet extractors for it. I know that it won't hold a TON of water, but I think it would hold enough for extracting seats or a vehicle carpet before having to dump it. Other than that, I won't use it for wet cleanup. But this thing truly is everything that people say it is. I haven't had any problem with mine. Saw a couple reviews where other people's tub/container cracked from the strong suction. I thought maybe I'd cut a few 1x1 wood brace pieces and put them inside the container as a brace.
