CHPOWERCR10s Hotend, CR-10 hotend Assembly, MK8 Extruder Original Replacement for CR10/ CR-10S/ CR-10S400/ CR-10S500-12V 40W

Ive replaced a lot of hotends on my CR-10s's but this brand seems to use thermistors that are cheaper than most. I have purchased 3-4 of this brand and they all break within a week. not sure what the deal is, but spend a few more bucks and get the creality ones.

This works very well as a full replacement on a CR-10s. However, it's not OEM as the screw holes do not align with stock or OEM parts. This means you cannot use this for parts and use only the heater block, etc. It can only be used as a full replacement.

The amount of aluminum for the set screw that holds the heater cartridge in is too thin. You will strip it out. Your heating element will not have a good contact to the block, your temps will fluctuate you will get frustrated. Get the type that has a cap screw to hold the heater cartridge not Allen head super small screw.

I agree with one of the other posters. You need to screw the throat in about 2-3 turns, otherwise you will have filament leaking out of the top of the heat block. Ask me how i know :P once that was resolved im printing great.

If you have experience with wiring the install with this will be a breeze! I didn't swap the nozzle out with a .6mm nozzle though.

After installing the cable, the thermistor was not working. Also, the display was barely legible. Come to find out the cable wires were all off by one pin. Pin one wire was in pin two etc. down the line. Now, my thermistor circuit no longer works. I believe my cr10 mother board is now partially toasted.

This product replaced the original perfectly, it was easy to get operational with minimum soldering. Print quality is great.

It works.. However it's much Shorter than the stock hotend. Causing the fan duct to hang lower than the nozzle. So you either lose part coolong or can't use it...
