Real Rugby Fans Will Love It, But.......
If u r a big rugby fan then obviously u will like it. The game play is good but the difference in difficulty on "easy" and "medium" is to big. All in all i love it because there is no other rugby games to rival it. Its better to play against a friend then against the computer tho. The best price for this game is on amazon so i recommend using this site.

It's ok!
This game plays ok, the graphics are passable, they are not the best, but are clear and give atmosphere from one stadium to the next.Attacking play is better than defending, and this type of game will always have a repetitive nature, but its all reasonably satisfying.Options are sparse, particularly if you're used to FIFA or PES, eg no management other than substitutions, however, you can create your own leagues with play-offs, with multiple user/com teams and simulate games if you want to skip them. There's a fair few teams in there too.Controls are a little tricky, particularly defending.Don't expect too much here, but it's all ok, reasonably satisfying to play, and one plus of the limited distribution of this game is, if you get a copy, it shouldn't devalue too quickly, so not all bad news.

So depressing...
So depressing that this is the only RL game for the major consoles - a real lacklustre affair, with utterly repellant difficulty settings. How on earth are we meant to spread the word of this sport if the only major console game for it is so difficult, with no guidelines other than a pamphlet of an instructions book? The motion capture is awful, fluidity of play non-existent, player likenesses often don't even have the correct race. No franchise mode, no team editing (you have to create a team from scratch if you want to include 2011 squads - can't just transfer players), same old dull Andrew Voss Commentary - literally the worse RL game so far. It tells you all you need to know that one of the boasts on the back of the box is "Realistic field and uniform degradation".I've just been playing a four nations tournament on it and turned off as several of the NZ players were playing without heads. But admittedly the grass and shirts got a bit dirtier. And a word on distribution. Outside of the rugby league heartlands of Lancs and Yorks this game was simply not available. Nowhere. Wasn't stocked in a solitary HMV, no stores of GAME or Gamestation received it outside of the north, and Amazon informed pre-ordered customers, on the morning it was due to be released, that they would only be getting it on 17th Dec. I cancelled my order on here and had it posted down from Leeds. Not really surprising, I had exactly the same problem with the previous releases - but it is such a smack in the face to a sport that boasts such massive attendance figures (second only to football in the UK). So the game pretty much lives up to the contempt it is being treated with.Fifty quid by the way.Lazy programming, lazy distribution, exorbitant RRP.So disappointing.

Rugby league live Ok!!
As a long time RUGBY LEAGUE FAN I couldn't wait for this game, ITS OK!!! Graphics are last Gen not much improved since the RUGBY LEAGUE 2. Game play is decent, playing online is good, seens better to play defence than attack. Very disappointing that there was no Franchise mode. Would be brilliant to have a proper company make A RUGBY LEAGUE game and make it like Fifa or your NFL games, to play a RUGBY LEAGUE game as if you were running the club yourself with dealing with transfers and running your reserves and academy teams for bringing in the youth to first team. If a game like this was to be made thben it be the best by far!!! Theres other points i forgot to mention is that the players attributes aren't up to scratch for example Jamie Foster from Saints is a great goal kicker yet he isn't on the game. You can't edit teams b y adding the new players your club has signed.Overall it is good but not what we all hope and pray that one day it will be. I still enjoy having games with my cousin and playing online.
