EDIT 6-24-24:After writing the below review, I was contacted by MIWISE Customer Support. Hands down, some of the nicest and genuine, most attentive people/company I have had the privilege of working with via Amazon. Upon hearing about the issues I faced, MIWISE offered a full refund and even offered product replacement AND another set of LEDs to show they stood by their product. Upon speaking with customer support it was discovered that my experience was a first for them and they wanted to make it right. I’ve updated my rating to 5 stars because when my original set worked, they were vibrant and looked great and more importantly, their customer service is beyond amazing. After the original message to me, there was someone willing to respond within a few hours as opposed to a few days like other Vendor’s Customer Support. MIWISE has gained my business moving forward. Thank You MIWISE!>>> I had hoped these would be the answer to my problem, but I was mistaken. First, the diodes are clearly visible when lit, as opposed to what the description leads one to believe. Second, I spent 2 hrs running these through my project only to plug them in and realize the solder point had a loose connection. Only about half of the strip worked and and what did, flickered in random colors. After playing around with it for a while I was able to get it to work by pinching the broken joint….looked great until I let go.

I love this type of LED strip. Its BRIGHT for one thing. For another, I dont need to figure out how attach these lights so that I have a nice even glow. For those not in the know, attaching the lights in a way that you can see the bulbs directly with spotty, intermittent light is not the way to use these lights for a good clean appearance. The goal is to see the glow of the light, not the individual light sources.. so for those of us over the age of 20, no more sticking light strips on the wall and thinking you're done... instead hid the strips behind objects, or cover them with light diffuser panels or route out a channels an inch or so deep in wood, etc to bury the strips in there. Amazon sells aluminum channels and more flexible LED strip channels if want something less linear looking... but if I have to look at ONE more tacky LED light setup.. *shudder*. With these lights already being continuous, it makes creating a nice clean setup even easier, since I'm not trying to hide the gaps in the light created by 5050 led strips. Between the continuous light sources and the brightness of the light, the range of light levels and colors gives an amazing variety of lighting options that I highly encourage people to explore as a way of discovering a new and varied range of ways to enjoy their living space, whether they are moving into a new apartment or seeking to find renewed pleasure in an old family home.Anyways, back to the review.... I LOVE that these strips come with both the easy ability to link up with Alexa and a physical three button controller wired to the LED strip power driver. Its nice to have a silent option to change up the lighting without having to speak. I'm horrible about keeping track of where I put the expected credit card sized remote, but I can reach out and press the button on the controller easily enough since I'll obviously be near the light source in my environment.

Very easy to install and nice bright lights. Another person talked about being unable to put it into pair mode, the instructions tell you to turn it on and off 5 times, but you just need to hold the power button on the control box for a few seconds then it will enter paring mode (for me the lights turned red then started blinking rapidly). Now I have to get the same lights for my smaller cases.Update 6/23/24 - bought a second set, plugged the lights into the first set since it was already plugged in and easy to test, worked fine, after putting the lights into the new display case turns out the control box that came with the new set did not work. Tried to ask Amazon for a replacement or the contact information for Miwise, they could not do either. The only option they provided was return the item, I explained to them it was already installed and that all I need a control box. They did not care, so I pulled the lights out to return them.TL;DR - Test the lights with the components in the box.

Spent 20 minutes trying to pair to either app.Could not enter “Reset Mode” which is needed to pair.Am getting frustrated, because Philips Hue light strip Never had this problem.

Light is nice & bright. LEDs are so close so reflection doesn’t show any dots. IR remote works well, music mode is nice. I was unable to pair the light with the app, cause my WiFi does not support 2.4Ghz alone, it’s combined with 5Ghz.

I had an issue with discoloration of a segment of my strip that I had (gently) rolled around a corner without connectors. I reached out to MIWISE customer support directly and they immediately sent me a replacement strip as well as a pack of 90° connectors. Quality may be a bit shakey but above and beyond customer service made up for it.

I'm reasonably intelligent and it's just not worth it. Won't connect to wi-fi and this not my first rodeo. Generic instructions (for any of their light bulbs, strings...). No help on the app. No help on their web page. Nothing anywhere about cutting the light strip. Has all the features I want. But Nope.

I brought 4 of these. 1 of the strips work with the remote controller perfectly. The one that works is super bright. The 3 others don't work. They only stay on red, on/off, or flash red. The manual control it comes with can't get it to change modes. Not sure if the 3 are defective or how could this be fixed. The qr code to install app and coonect devices is super difficult. Not able to get it done. Kind of disappointed cause if it does work it looks awesome but it's also kind of expensive.
