I lost the lid to a large glass screwtop jar which was used to store teabags so bought this as a replacement. The entire box of clipper 80 teabags fits in comfortably and even 100 would fit in if squashed. Sturdy describes the weight best, reasonably heavy but not overly heavy. It was easy to wash out , rinsed in summer cold water. I recommend washing out every two boxes and then dry with a cotton linen mix teatowel because it is not dishwasher safe. The top does not have the tightest of seals but it gets put back on more ofte than the previous screwtop. This is wide and unlikely to tip over. As a decorative and ergonomic teabag storage jar, it ticks all of the boxes.
