This seems like a gimmick but is very useful.
I did not test accuracy of the device, I already have a BOSCH laser that is really good, but i got this one just because of the finding center feature. I hit my head multiple times into finding center in all kind of cases but the worst is to do the ceiling center, measure calculate, then live measure and find one axis then to the same for the second axis and then make sure you put the sign in the cross section. With this one you get on the ladder at approximate center of the room and then find center and mark. easy. one feature i would love to have is to set from the unit a percentage you want to measure at, for example set to 20%/80% for a special measurement, or set to 5 parts of a whole, so you measure the entire wall and then every 20% of that length you make a sign. Of course you can calculate but it would be awesome to have out of the box. One thing i don't like is that measurement in live mode it's pretty slow, so it takes a bit to find the spot you are looking for.

Worth for the money.
I don't know why when people review a product, they tend don't review the app when the product is attached with it.I am not one of those people and I review the hardware + the software. This product is an amazing for my work needs. It finds center points in seconds, record measurement into the app less than 1 second. It allows end user to take image and put measurement with a single button. All you need is a Bluetooth connection from your phone to the app if you choose to use the app, otherwise use the unit stand alone. For the price, I bought it at $150 I stead of $200 originally. I know other simular functions even better but at least $400 to $700 dollars of which amazing of converting DXF (works with any CAD software such as SolidWorks, Chief Architect, etc).I am a 42 married man, anything over $100 dollars and up I have to think it twice before ordering it whereas I never looked at the price while I was single. This unit price is a compromise price, not too high and not too low for the worth of the unit.

Stand in the middle of a room and measure...good range for large spaces
I do event and staging work and often need measurements of very large spaces quickly. Being able to stand mid-room and send laser out in both directions is very helpful. I do wish the level bubbles had a light.Otherwise...still using it. Works well.

Great Measuring Technology
Construction technology just keeps getting better. The end-to-end measuring capability and built-in construction computer for volume and area are great. One reviewer suggested using a tripod to improve accuracy, but I would definitely use a monopod instead. With the built-in bubble levels, it would be much easier and quicker.

exactly what you need
It was a little confusing at first, but once one learned how to get what one wanted it is a great device.

Difficult to select mode
It is very accurate. Many useful calculation functions.A single button controls at least a dozen functions and it is impossible to tell which one you’re going to.The lasers constantly turn off. Just as you get it lined up the lasers go off and then you lose your alignment trying to get them back on.One of the issues is the hard, smooth plastic body. The very slightest touch and the unit moves, holding it in place while pressing buttons is virtually impossible.Because of the number of functions and even Bluetooth connection to my smart phone with the downloadable app, I will probably glue a thin piece of rubber or cork to the body to stop it from spinning and sliding so easily.I like the device and recommend it but warn about the difficulty of a one button menu for a dozen or more options.

Useless for most.
I bought this in hopes of making floorplans quickly. I bought this and a dewalt to test which was going to fit what I needed. I see a lot of ppl saying it feels cheap made... I don't think that to be true. However, I would def not say it's premium...Controls are glitchy..in order to connect to Bluetooth you have to clear out the app and repair it over and over....The WORST thing about this thing is that it will not connect to other apps. It's using a low power Bluetooth that's encrypted and unless you write code and write the key into the app you're not getting this thing to work on anyone else's app. Their app is absolute trash...sketch mode does not auto scale and it's just a basic draw a line on a grid design. The bubble levels in it are nearly unreadable even in the light...It also turns off very fast. Like every 20 seconds. The laser beam itself is the quality of the dollar store ones I had as a kid...The only way this thing would be of use to anyone is just using it to measure inconsistently and write measurements down...If that's the case save yourself about 100 dollars...In fairness the Dewalt one didn't do like I needed either but it was 60 bucks and was 10 times better than this one.I decided to stop being cheap and get a Leica X4. I'm confident it will do exactly what I'm wanting.

Amazing
Very good. Though, if you don't use it a lot, it's easy to forget how to setup the settings. For example, you cannot place it on a wall and aim at another wall so your hands won't shake before changing the setting to read from a wall. It does not have this fool-proof system preprogrammed, you have to remember the button combination to change it to the measuring setting to measure from a wall, and not from the middle, which is kind of a hassle.Otherwise, very amazing product.
