Was a little shorter than the original, but thought the original had too much extra length. This replacement fit perfect and works great. Was very easy to install, after removing my sectional and flipping it over. It seems to be a better pull handle and cable then the original. Nice to have the 2nd one as a backup.

Decent quality, much smoother movement than the aged and broken cables they replaced. However the one set only lasted two years compared to the original cables lasting about 20 years.Used to repair a theater seating set of 4 chairs so I needed 2 sets of the D cable with the oval cable opening, one set failed but the other is ok.Hopefully these last at least another 2 years. Seems they could use a bit of strain relief near the handle as the sheath broke and slid down probably a year ago on the two that now have many broken cables. Some extra protection likely would have avoided this.

Look closely at two parts of your broken cable that you’re trying to replace. You want to make sure the end (either a loop or a pin) matches yours. Also, a little ways down from the end: make sure the thicker part matches. This is the key - it attaches to the chair. Can be hard to slide on. I had to hammer mine with a hammer and then push. I ordered the wrong type first, having not taken the broken cable out of the bottom of my chair. Once I did, I matched mine to the images. The images posted are very clear. They do change with each length change, so look closely! Mine was an exact match and took only seconds to attach. (I didn’t bother to screw the handle in under the seat cushion - it works fine)

Proper size and fit for my recliners with appropriate securing bracket. Make sure your handle that this attaches to is not broken or you will need a different cable.

I bought these to replace the broken ones on our older couch. Couch is in great condition still but pull cable handles had broken off. Great price ans easy to install.

I bought a reclining sofa from marketplace, and about a week later one of the recliner cables snapped. I ordered this part the evening it broke, and got it the next day. It took about 3 minutes to install, I just looked at the recliner on the other side as a guide. Works better than it did before!Edited to add: it broke about a week after installed. Still giving 3 stars because it was the correct part, arrived quickly, and installed easily, but annoyed it didn’t last.

This was very hard to install in my Lane sectional. I had to try to hold back the cushion to find the screw holes and get enough leverage to screw in the one end.The other end needed to slot into piece on the underside of the couch. It did not fit. I used a hammer, needlenose plyers, and a lot of elbow grease to make it attach. I'm still not sure that it is seated properly, but it has been installed for a few months now and hasn't broken free.Otherwise, I am very happy that I can recline on my couch again. I didn't want to have to buy a new one.

Used this on two recliners that broke. I am not a handyman for sure, but I took off the original cables and measured it to make sure I had the right size - this is very important. I replaced the cables on two chairs in less than an hour and now they both work perfectly. I purchased my couch from the Chesterfield Shoppe and when I called for a replacement cost on their parts it was over $100. Although it took a little longer to receive the item from Amazon, it was well worth it. I'm glad I bought an extra set just to have as a back up.

Excellent product!I was a little skeptical about this pull cord as my previous experiences have not been good; however, this product worked so well on my Natuzzi sofa that my wife and I agreed it feels better than the original cable that came with it when we bought the sofa.

Product is well made and fit perfectly. Short version is what I needed and was hard to find. Thanks
