As a professional this is my 2nd time purchasing, because I liked the first one so much.

I have a LOT of hair. A LOT. And it’s thick. And curly. This iron gets really hot, but still requires several passes for straight shiny hair. And you also need thin slivers of hair which means if you have a lot of hair you’ll need to take your time. What I ADORE about this iron is the grip. The indents on the handle allow your thumb to grip both sides of the iron tightly, resulting in less strain on your hands. You’d think that also means even distribution of heat? But again if you have thick hair expect to have to pass at least 2/3 times to get straight hair. It didn’t burn or smoke my hair which is a plus as well. But having to do multiple passes is why I’m giving this a 4.

Perfect heat temperature settings for coarse, thick, wavy hair! I don't even need the highest setting. Leaves a smooth sheen and tames the frizz. Use with your favorite heat protectant.

I think this flat iron is not made for natural hair. I feel like the ladies on the videos have some sort of straightening system in their hair. I washed and conditioned my hair, I used heat protection and I blow dried my hair, with the comb attachment. I did everything and my hair was no straighter than my flat iron from the beauty supply store. The temperature control was great, it got hot but it didn’t smooth anything. The performance of this iron is disappointing. It’s made for durability, but not for natural hair. If any one has any suggestions for 4c really natural hair, like things I should do or products to try with these irons, I am opened to hearing it. Or the maybe the creator or company can give suggestions on how to better use your product.

Save your money. This brand works every bit as well as competitor products that sell for $$$$. Zero hair damage😊. They are seemingly drop-proof. Mine unintentionally hits the tile bath room floor frequently. They last for YEARS.
