Incredible Performance ...
Why did you choose this product over others?:At first, I was hesitant about this product due to the low specs it presented: 2 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM, but after running it, I can assure you that this little Android box is the best in performance and quality I have tried so far. I don't know why a lot of people are returning it, but my experience has been great with it, lightning fast and smooth response. I have been able to install all my favourite apps and more without a problem, my Netflix app works flawlessly and the remote controls it perfectly. It has 3 buttons for direct access. The only thing that I don't like about it, and hope that they can add in the future, is the Ethernet port, but the Wifi is unbelievably fast, no kidding, I have Wi-Fi 6 and Wifi7 running from my Asus Router and 930 MB of fibre internet, and this box supports it.I have found no lag or glitches while operating this little bad boy; it streams perfectly in 4K resolution. With HDR10+ Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, which matches my Samsung 4K TV HDR, HDR+, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.I have tested other Android Boxes, but this one is by far the best I have seen at this price range, affordable, Fantastic performer, premium quality feel. It has a Quad-Core Cortex-A55 CPU that makes all the difference in speed and performance.I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to enjoy smooth streaming at an affordable price, but I would also like to recommend having a fast fibre broadband plan to accommodate all of your devices in your home network so you dont start getting lags during streaming and lastly try to get an IT friend to help you with the network and display settings in between your 4K TV and the 4K Streaming Box to maximize your experience, also you need to make sure that you have bought 4K TV HDMI cables (2.1) to connect both devices so you dont loose any resolution in the transmission of data. (watching TV and playing content with your media player).NOTICE: The setup is easy on any Android Box if you know about technology, you will be able to tweak it up to your liking, but if you don't know much about it then get a friend who does, to help you with it so you have it installed properly and dont have issues with it later on. Good luck to you, and I hope this review helps you make an informed decision.

Works brilliantly to make a TV smarter!
Fantastic little box, well worth the money. I have an LG TV and whilst it is a smart TV, there are limited apps that you can download for it. The remote for this Xiaomi box is clicky and very responsive. Setup is a breeze (although it helps that I have several other Google home products) haven't noticed any issues with it whatsoever so far. Only slight downside is that there is no ethernet port, so will only rely on WiFi connection. Would recommend!

Avoid
Firestick is better, doesn’t matter what I do, the vpn never connects automatically like it does on the Firestick. After 3 months all apps are freezing and it is impossible to watch! By the way, it is EU wall plug, you also need an adapter! I really feel scammed with this thing, I will try to return

There is no “mute” button on the remote
Amazon Review: Xiaomi Mi BoxI recently purchased the Xiaomi Mi Box, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with its performance. The streaming quality is excellent, and the user interface is smooth and easy to navigate. It’s a great device for accessing all my favorite apps and content. However, I was disappointed that the remote control doesn’t have a dedicated “Mute” button. This is a basic feature that would greatly improve the user experience. I hope Xiaomi considers adding it in future versions.Despite this minor issue, the Mi Box delivers great value for the price, and I would recommend it to others looking for an affordable and reliable TV box.4/5 Stars!

It's great!
Great - bought it to play files from 512gb usb drive and it powers the drive and plays every video I've tried via nova media player and vlc. Smooth menus, no lag. Very happy. Came with a UK plug, too.All the catch up apps apart from BBC iplayer. Apparently you can side load it but I don't know how, it's not available through the app store.

Research the availability of applications in your region
This device was bought and used in the UK. The device is well packaged and i really like the form factor of the main unit and the remote control. The performance through setup was a little clunky, i am familiar with configuring android devices so i figured it out quickly enough. After the initial setup the menus were a little sluggish to respond sometimes but nothing that would cause a problem during general operation. Netflix, Amazon Video and Plex were setup quickly and worked as expected. The device came pre-installed with ITVX, however when i tried to sign in i received a message saying the service was not currently available. No Channel 4 application but that is standard for most if not all google based android devices, however even trying to cast the channel 4 app from a mobile device would not work after using various devices making sure all updates had been applied it would still not work. Considering this device was to replace my 1st generation Google Chromecast which does still work with all Chromecasting applications (it does occasionally drop out, hence looking to replace it). Finally i searched for the iPlayer but unfortunately it is not available and trying to cast from the iPlayer app on my mobile devices it would not pickup the Xiaomi Box. Unfortunately i had to return it as i actually use the ITVX, Channel 4 and BBC iPlayer more than anything else. When the Xiaomi box worked it was perfectly fine for the price, unfortunately limited app compatibility has made it a 'no go' for me.
