Stay off the tool truck
Works great. But for me I think I need to add an air regulator. The built in speed adjustment won’t turn it down far enough if you want to slow it way down. I talking about using it at work in a real body shop with a massive air compressor. But comparing to your expensive $3-$400 tool truck tools, this is just as good.

An absolute must have in your autobody arsenal
This is 100% a true and through random orbital sander, I mainly use the 2 inch disc with an attached 2 inch foam hook loop pad, gets into all those tough nearly impossible hard to reach areas, very quiet no screaming and perfect results every time. Comes with 320 to 600 grit, I bought separately 40 80 and 220 grit and this thing works awesome for body work as well

3" random orbit sander
I have used this same tool in the body shop where I work. It is very useful for feathering paint in tight areas like door jambs, etc. The variable speed control also makes it a good tool for the 3M headlight polishing kits that most auto parts stores sell, as they require slower speed. I am somewhat disappointed that the one I recieved is painted red rather than the polished metal version shown in the advertisement. It's not a big deal just overtime I presume the red finish will have issues as apposed to the polished metal shown in the ad. It also doesn't come with any harsher grit sandpaper but these are obtainable at my local autobody supplier, for a price of course :). Overall a great tool when used for it's intended purpose, not a tool designed for fast removal of material, it's a random orbital sander afterall. Chicago Pneumatic sells an identical twin to it for that. I am not big on tools that come with their own cases, most of the time the tool will wind up in my tool box while the case sits on a shelf. I'ld rather they would save their time and effort, omit the case, and pass the savings on to me. In my situation and that of the bodyshop where I work, the sand paper gets used up and since it comes in boxes about 3" square, that's where it remains, the areas in the case are not large enough to accomodate a full box. If I could have found the bare tool with both the 2" and 3" pads, plus pad removal tool, for a lesser price I would have gone that route. In the end; omit the case and the red paint on the tools body and I would give it 5 stars.

Mini Random Orbital Works Great!
This sander is great! When used properly it leaves no sanding marks. The small size of the two disks have helped me get into all the small places on the 73 VW Super Beetle I am restoring. It is also cost effective on sand paper because I can buy hook and loop disks in any grit I want and cut them to the size I need. When I buy 8" sanding disks I can get 2-3 disks by just cutting the disks out myself. I wish I had bought this years ago.It also works well on wood. Just make sure the tool is in firm contact with whatever you are sanding before you activate it. Also make sure you oil it each day as per instructions and have an in line moisture filter, I use disposable ones.

Great for detailing and headlight restoration
small, compact, light weight, it's perfect for those difficult to reach areas. I purchased this polisher to use for detailing my boat and realized the utility for any polishing need very quickly. it surpasses the pad on a drill as the rpm's are more conducive to an excellent result in a short period of time. The air consumption is very small but the performance is huge. this works awesome on plastic lens headlight restoration just make sure you use the proper compounds on the pads. I was not disappointed after all it's a Chicago Pneumatic and indistrial grade so a happy homeowner should get a lifetime of use.
