Glenryck Pacific Pilchards in Tomato Sauce 155 g (Pack of 12)

These are lovely and tasty, hot r cold. On toast r wafers. With chopped onions and garlic. New potatoes, chips, salads r just hot on a cold night in a bowl with thick pieces of bread n butter. I usually do that when it's really cold out. Tasty n hot, cant beat it. Patricia Welsh xxxx

Whether pilchards or sardines, these little fish in tomato sauce are the best out there in can, that simple. They are cheap and maybe because they are simply called pilchards in tomato sauce...it what it says on the tin!

Good value small tins of pilchards. Can be hard to find in shops these days.I use them for Marguerite Patten’s 1970s recipe for Pilchard Squares, and as a substitute for anchovies in puttanesca sauce, along with anchovy paste.This is a tray of 12 small tins. They are not ringpull, slightly awkward to open as they are small.Quality of this brand is always good.

This fish taste really good and it is versatile. I like to add vegetables to it and have it with rice, potatoes or bread . Its a good price for a case of 12, and it’s a quick easy go to for a weeknight meal.

I believe the pilchards are getting smaller we now get 5 to the can previously we had 3 pilchards with little room for the sauce - Sorry to be making this comment

£4.66 paid for a 12 pack, great value for these, tastes great nice sauce, long life, handy little snack, would definitely buy again at that price point and would recommend.

They are very tasty, but they have bones inside. I feed them to the Cats they liked them. 12x so value for money. not much more than supermarket so saves you carrying them home!
