Works great
There was some sort of black asphalt or tar on the rims of my tires on my brand new suv. I hadn’t even had it a week. There’s a lot of construction and potholes that are filled in daily in my area so I’m assuming it was from one of those. I tried soap and water, some generic tire cleaner, magic erasers, nothing was taking it off. I thought it was permanent. It was splattered all over all 4 rims. I sprayed some of this on a paper towel and it came off with barely any effort. Just wiped right off. I’m keeping this on hand incase it happens again. 10/10 recommend.

Works better than most but requires a little "elbow grease"
Getting stubborn tar off a car can be a tedious job. This one worked better than most but still required some "elbow grease" to finish the job.For it's cleaning power, it is a decent value.

Thank you Tarminator!
I love Stoners! This product is an absolute miracle! I bought a 2023 Nissan and it had asphalt slathered all inside the fender flares, the asphalt even had small rocks stuck in it. The inside of the flares were completely coated. Some genius I bought the car from thought it would be smart to spray paint over the top of the asphalt in order to conceal it! It looked awful! With about 2 hours I used a stiff toothbrush and tarminator and removed ALL the asphalt and spray paint! The wheel wells look perfect now! Inwas considering wet sanding and painting but I thought I would give this a try first, I am so happy I found this product!

Absolutely worthless on old tree sap! Save your money and buy a clay bar kit or respray it.
I recently bought a used black Lexus GX. Unfortunately the previous owner was not very smart (or blind) and so they let a huge clump of tree sap sit on the fender and bake in the sun for a very long time. I purchased this spray-on remover in hopes that it would at least soften up the sap, but it did absolutely nothing to help! The only thing that helped me remove the sap on the surface was a Meguiar’s clay bar kit… but let me tell you a little secret about old tree sap, it is extremely acidic and EATS the clearcoat and paint underneath it.After removing the tree sap from my car the stain is still visible like a fossil underneath it and my Lexus collision center has informed me that the only way to remove it is to re-spray the entire fender for the cost of about $900. I’m sure I could get it repaired for cheaper somewhere else, but it will probably never properly match.Learn a lesson from my mistake. STOP wasting money trying to remove the tree sap from your car if it’s been on there for longer than a year and just have it professionally repaired. Some of these products may help you if the tree sap is still fresh or if you have a more forgiving color vehicle, but if your vehicle is black like mine forget about it. It will probably never go away unless it’s professionally fixed.

It worked but with a LOT of effort
My brand new car had some weird spots on it that wouldn't come off in the car wash, nor could I scrape them off with my fingernail. Almost black or really dark green - I figure they must be tar or something similar. After reading good reviews, I decided to try this product. The label clearly says not to leave on your car longer than 1 minute. I sprayed an area, left for 1 minute, then wiped off. No change. I did this over and over again - maybe by the 10th time or so, I was able to loosen the spots and the area finally wiped completely clean. But I worry that means this had 10 minutes of contact with my car - not 10 consecutive minutes but I still worry this must not have been good for my beautiful paint job. And it's pretty thin, so I panicked it was going to drip onto a rubber or plastic area of my car, which apparently this will ruin. Long story short - this did totally work, but I worry it has or will do damage to my car. My car looks fine, but there are so many warnings on this can (don't leave on more than 1 minute, don't let it touch any rubber/plastic/etc), I just worry I may have removed an invisible layer of protection put on by the manufacturer. I guess I'll see over time.

AMAZING PRODUCT
I was very skeptical after being quoted $300 to remove the tar I had on my car I purchase this hoping it would help me after reading the reviews and OMG buy it!! It totally works! Yes you have to spray, wipe, spray, wipe a few times but it beats paying $300
