I love this spacer for making gel prints to keep everything lined up for multiple layers and creating a consistent margin. I highly recommend this for making very professional and clean gel prints.

I had my eye on the more complex and more expensive larger placement tool when I saw someone using this one on a video. I bought it, it works beautifully, and it does what I need it to do. I may still get the larger one in the future, but for now - this works for me.

I don't quite know why you need the expensive large one. This is fab.

This doesn't work with an 8 x 10 plate even though the description says otherwise!!!! I'm so angry about it bc I tore up the package getting it out bc it was impossible to get out otherwise. Very disappointed.

you lose a fair amount of paper at the edges

Not universal for art project registration .. depends on the size of the paper used for geli-printing . Very expensive for what it is . I am now using masking tape to mark my borders and hold paper in place to keep it in the same place for layered prints . A good quality piece of plastic with very limited use . Not versatile .
