Love this stuff...saved me money!
I have a guitar that had a noisy/scratchy 5 way switch...the guitar has a slimmer than average body so a regular 5 way switch won’t be a direct replacement and are hard to find. I was told that most likely since the 5 way switch is mechanical that it may need a good cleaning. I tired another brand electronic cleaner and it helped but a month later the same problem. So with multiple suggestions from a guitar repair forum, I was told to try this brand of electronic cleaner...not only does it clean but lubricates and it’s been over a year and no more noisy switches! Well worth the price, very happy

It Works!!!!
I was honestly skeptical about this product after watching a YouTube video about it I’m a believer! It solved the scratching sound on four of my knobs to my guitar amplifier. If I only knew about this stuff earlier I’d probably still have some guitars and amps I’ve sold in the past.

My go to for cleaning contacts
Great stuff. This will help clean and lube those scratchy volume and other potentiometer type knobs. Great for cleaning contacts as well.I've never seen an adjustable can before that with a twist of the nozzle you can control how much.

DeoxIT Contact Cleaner Review
This contact cleaner is truly remarkable! It works wonders by swiftly enhancing connectivity in scratchy pots, switches, and jacks. The 5% DeoxIT solution is both potent and gentle, while the spray applicator ensures precise application. A necessary tool for maintaining audio equipment, guitars, and electronics. It's dependable, long-lasting, and definitely worth the investment. I first learned about it from a magazine called Audio Amateur, where a similar product named Cramolin was featured. Like DeoxIT, Cramolin also had red and blue variations. The blue was designed as a preservative for new contacts, while the red served as a cleaner and preservative for oxidized contacts. Theoretically, the blue may offer superior long-term protection, whereas the red excels at cleaning and restoring already oxidized contacts. Highly recommended for maintenance and repairs!

Mind. Blown. 🤯
RECOMMEND: Absolutely!PROs:• It works!CONs:• More expensive than other products that advertise the same function.BACKGROUND:When my neighbor tossed out a Peavey Vypyr VIP-2, I asked if I could take it off their hands. They agreed, and I brought it home—only to find that three of the digital knobs weren’t responding at all. I asked ChatGPT what to do, and it suggested DeoxIT D5. I was skeptical (especially after seeing the price on Amazon), and even tried arguing with Chat—but it wouldn’t back down. “DeoxIT is the only way,” it said.Reluctantly, I ordered a bottle.A few days later, it arrived. I tore down the amp (not fun), applied the spray to the problem pots, let it dry, reassembled the amp—and BAM! It worked perfectly. Like new. I was stunned.I didn’t stop there. I’d noticed scratchiness in my guitar’s volume and tone knobs, so I gave DeoxIT another mission. Removed the pots, sprayed, reinstalled—same result. Smooth, clean operation.DeoxIT D5 isn’t cheap, but it’s worth every penny. This little bottle of black magic brought my gear back to life. I can’t recommend it enough.

No other option to clean vintage audio equipment
I've been using the DeoxIT D5 to clean some vintage audio equipment including a Pioneer 8 Track TH-30, Pioneer 12-D turntable, Pioneer SX-434 and an Akai reel to reel. There really isn't another alternative to get the same quality results. It would be like trying to use a fork to sip soup.It is a little pricey.
