WüsthofGourmet 3-Piece Utility Knife Set

I almost feel like a pro with these knives. A dream to work with

I like Wusthof and they are what I expected. However, the scissors are junk and I sure wouldn't put the Wusthof name on them. I bought these for myself but if I had ordered them as a gift I would have given them without the scissors!

The kitchen shears are great, but the knives are definitely very low quality. As long as you are purchasing for the shears, uou should be satisfied. Just don't expect much from the throwaway knives

I was really just looking for the kitchen shears. They glide through everything with little to no effort. But the best thing is if you spread the handles and separate the come apart in less than two seconds. You can use regular scissors for the same tasks. But you can't ever clean them properly. I chose not to make my family sick from all of the bacteria lurking around that pivot point of the shears. They are more expensive than generic ones. But one co-payment to see the Dr. Your family being happy, healthy and not missing school/you having to miss work. Plus when I saw they had a pair of knives for free with them! I'm trained as a chief so I don't need them. I purchased in September 2021 for around $40, which was a reasonable price for the quality. Today listed on Amazon at $85 for set, which I consider way overpriced. Knives and scissors are sharp on arrival and work well but are not nearly as heavy-duty as the “Classic” line of knives, which they resemble in handle design.

For a name brand known for quality I was expecting, well, a better product. The knives seem to be simple stamped blades, nothing special. Basically disposable once they lose their sharpness.The kitchen shears are ok. The blades separate and have enough thickness. I've tried using them to break down poultry and had a lot of difficulty. So the just serve as normal scissors.

Wustof knives are always a great choice. I have about a dozen or more. I wanted to retire a few with scratched plastic handles. These are seriously better quality. These are the ones I go for first every single day. They are a nice quality, fit your hand comfortably, and they’re easy to keep sharp (in my knife block). Price point is excellent on this package. I even bought a few more sets for Christmas gifts. They will be spoiled once they use these. No regrets at all
