The Fall: 1 (Burning Skies) Paperback – 31 Jan. 2018

One of those books that grip you from the start. A plot a bit different form the now , no zombies or plague and sometimes may be seen as stereotypical in nature with nasty foreigners (avoiding spoilers) and good Americans but it is fiction, highly entertaining. Good characters, well written with good action sequences. Can’t wait for Round 2.

Very good book but bit confusing at start as kept jumping to different groups.

I thought this one ticked all the boxes for a USA attack thriller. The main characters (of which the number is just right) really add to how the story flows and develops. Although we could do with knowing a bit more about the main protagonist ,as the story seems to move away from him as it unfolds

Stereo-typical characters make up this EMP story which has shades of Dr. Stranglove about it. Very disappointing. I liked the Cal thread despite him being wet and, despite his Royal Marine background, strangely almost useless when the chips were down.All the other story threads were dominated by B-movie characters that did exactly what you guessed they were going to do. I wanted more of the Cal and his groups escape from the city and surviving in the butt end of America and would have preferred the madcap Generals in the secret bases and the sinister Chinese cartoon characters to just add a bit of context.The bit near the end where Britain starts to plan how to rescue the USA is laughable. We would struggle to secure the Isle or Wight.

Really good. Can't wait for the next book. Kind of a prelude to what's to come....

I've enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. It flows really well, and the story had me hooked pretty quickly. Very exciting story.

This guy could write a shopping list and make it a must read!. The book starts at a fast pace and doesn't let up. Again heros and heroines we root for. So well written you could almost feel like your there, he takes his readers on a heart stopping adventure with each book. This one is no different. Top notch!

I like this author a lot, read several of his series but my only gripe is his books are so short, would love for him to split the story into 3 books instead of the usual 6.
