I almost didn't buy this because of the negative reviews. Quite frankly, I really don't know where those other people are coming from. This lamp arrived in 3 days after I ordered it. It is a shiny chrome, which is clear in the photo. It's 46" tall at it's highest height, which is also clear if you read the parameters. Another reviewer complained about it being too bright, which makes no sense as it doesn't come with a bulb and you can choose which bulb you put into the lamp. I tried a soft bulb and a bright white bulb which both yielded different results. The tripod is nicely made and stands up straight without wobbling. You can adjust each leg if your floor is really uneven. Overall, most lamps of this style are well over $100, and this lamp is an excellent value. I have no complaints about it and would recommend it. It looks great, it functions as a lamp, and it is much less expensive than others like it. Do not be afraid of the negative reviews!

The lamp is sub-standard and had to dispose of the two we bought. Main problems are: 1) the tripods which are not stable, cannot be fixated enough to not let the lamp regularly fall over. 2) the extremely white light, which is uncomfortable at night and in the dark, ie. whenever you need the lamp.... 3) overall. the lamp comes over as a cheap product when you see it in reality - don't let yourself be fooled by the pictures, which convey something much more grant.

Don’t buy this if you want it antiqued, The description and Photos show it is antiqued, but it’s shiny as ever.

Broke while I was adjusting the legs. Did not even get the lamp head out of the packaging. Very light weith and cheaply made for the price. Sent it back for a refund.

Mine came in all chrome and not with the patina like i thought i was ordering. shipping took forever.
