would never recommend this item to anyone
came with two broken corners,shell separated from frame,3 broken jet bodies,waited 8 weeks for this ,had to rent a machine to place it on my deckwhile it was being wired we started to fill it only to see the water come out as fast as it went in,customer service has so far apologized,and done nothing else,have been waiting two weeks for an answer on replacement parts so far nothing! would never recommend this item to anyone!!!

Nice spa, well made, good power and fits my needs
This is my second spa, I had a Saratoga spa for over 10 years at my previous house.This is an American Spa, made by California Spas.-Got this hot tub and installed it on a cement pad in my back yard. Moving it from my driveway was easy with 2 people and a rented hot tub dolly. It came well wrapped and was on a pallet, unwrapped it in the back yard. Had an electrician run wires under the pad prior to this and he hooked it up so no wires are visible. When we hooked it up it did not leak, was not damaged and has been working well. It took a day (about 12 hours, starting at 55 degrees) to heat up fully. It was easy to fill and set up. It has more than enough power for 2 people and enough for 4-6 when you are using more seats. 3 Types of seats, 2 of each with some foot jets that are adjustable. 2 Seats have shoulder jets and you can really crank those seats up enough to push you out of the seat.-It looks beautiful and the cover fits well. I got a cover caddy I attached to slide the cover off easily. I gave it only four stars because the price has been going up and down on Amazon and I paid a couple hundred more than the current price, when I contacted Amazon they said I could refuse to accept it and reorder it at the lower price, I didn't want to wait the weeks it would take. I still think it was a fair price considering the wi-fi and sound system. Also, personally I would prefer a slightly deeper tub, but this is perfect for me and my wife together, that's why I ordered it. I did not want the lounger, had one before and rarely used it.-It uses a single filter and keeps the water great with minimal chemicals, we use bromine and non-chlorine shock with a mineral float in the filter. This seems to be perfect. The tub is well made and feels solid.-The water level is not deep, I was looking for this because my wife is just under 5 feet and she can sit comfortably without additional pillows. I am 5' 10" and water is above my shoulders when I lean back, but my shoulders are out if I am sitting up.-You can crank up the temperature for short periods to 105-106 degrees, heater keeps it hot and the whole unit works well.-The wi-fi sometimes take a couple tries to connect, but has been working well. After I connect to it I can control music and volume through the phone. I usually use it late at night so I haven't cranked it up too much because I have neighbors. I enjoy sitting in the spa able to stream my music from my phone.-Since install I have had only one electric bill, looks like it added about $20 for the last month with temps in the 30-45 degree range.Overall I am happy with this purchase and would buy it again if I were looking for e new spa.

Great spa, BUT....
Excellent working and great looking spa with a ton of features. We enjoy ours year-round, even with outdoor temps as low as 18 degrees F. BUT, make sure American Spas / Cal Spas has an authorized service provider in your area before you buy. Ours had a minor leak in one of the plumbing joints, and it was a nightmare trying to get anyone to service it. We ended up having to practically beg the local competitor spa's dealer to do the repair (with Cal Spa's approval), pay almost $500 out of pocket, and then get reimbursed by Cal Spas. The process took a couple of months.With that caveat, I highly recommend this spa!

American Spa VS time/quality.....
just to let you know i have done a lot of research on spa because it is a very large investment! i live in central California and found this company is a sister company of CAL SPAs. CAL spas has the same address, same build methods and similar parts. I found cal spas at the top of the list of consumer report 2016 . I found this spa winner over Costco option or the high priced local spa Co. FYI this is the largest purchase on Amazon for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!step one :research complete 5/8/16 - 5/24/16step two:Purchase spa 5/24/16 9pmEmailed American spa co one 5/27/16 and a customer rep told me the order was being built and that it would be ready by 6/1/16. We received email that the carrier now has the spa and will be getting tracking # and date any time now..... 6/1/16Step three:get tracking number and ship date..... TBDso far so good i will up date the process and outcome as it unfolds....
