Perfect rebuild kit if you know or want to learn how to do it. Front pulley removes with impact gun
Remove the red post from back of alternatorRemove front pulley with a impact gun, remove 3 rear bolts, pry the rear case with 2 people and 3 prying tools on the 3 corners.Back bearing is installed with new plastic housing, back bearing cover comes off goes on gently, back bearing slides out and in. Front bearing is installed removing 3 bolt shield and tapping out with socket and in with a socket or old bearing on back of new bearing.Voltage regulator comes out 3 screws, grease the 2 contact points on alternator with capsule,Install new voltage regulator with 3 screws thread the 3 screws gently to make sure you don't strip them then tighten them.Remove the wire clip / allen looking thing in the voltage regulator.Put the back casing on in the same way it came out and work the back bearing in the new plastic casing towards the back of the alternator it should be as close as it can get to the shaft and snug to the alternator core.Put your 3 bolts back in, tighten them and use your finger to put / snap the plastic cover back on the back bearing.Tighten your red terminal piece back on, and use a impact to tighten your pulley on.You can hold the pulley with a rag or something creative while impacting it. Just don't use metal to metal or you will damage the grooves.I have experience rebuilding these alternators and doing it yourself saves alot of hastle from guessing if someone replaced all the parts right like the voltage regulator bearings .etc with reman parts.

Good Ford 6G alternator rebuild kit
The bearings were going out on my '05 F150's 6G hi-amp alternator so I switched out to the stock unit and order this rebuild kit. Just buying the bearings locally was going to cost me the same as this kit. Bearings fit perfectly, I researched the regulator and it appears to be the most recent model. Alternator is cleaned, rebuilt and painted just waiting for a cool day to put it back on the truck then I'll be ordering a second kit to freshen up the stock alternator.

Electronic regulator DOA.
Been rebuilding automotive parts for the better part of 40 years, not much is as frustrating as troubleshooting a problem, rebuilding the bad part, having it NOT work, do more troubleshooting, only to find the NEW parts you installed are defective. In this case after troubleshooting the no charge issue again, for hours thinking it must be wiring... after the original troubleshooting, then rebuilding and installed my rebuilt/old alternator. I concluded these parts were defective, (No response from Alternator). I ordered a new alternator from DB Electric, installed that and fixed the problem. Good luck trying to find out how to get a refund from this Vendor. Don't waste your time with this kit.

It worked
Wasn’t buying a new alternator for the old f150. Used just the brushes to get the truck charging again. Worked as intended, charging great for the past few months
