Not easy to use, but it does create sturdy small pot holders are perfect sized coasters.
I'm an adult and after some frustration, I decided, this kit is not for little kids to use on their own. It was not easy for me to work the thick loops, but I like how sturdy the project is when done. The end projects, I wouldn't call pot holders because you get something half the size, (see pics for size comparison) but they do make sturdy, pretty cup coasters, which I really like! I love playing with putting the different colors together, but wish it came with more loops for the money. The most difficult part is when I was removing the project from the loom. I'd get to the last side and the loops would pop off which meant I had to start over. There is no saving the project when it starts unraveling. And the thick rubber bands that came with it, did not stop that from happening. I used my own, more medium sized rubber bands and before I started removing the 3rd side, I covered each loop on the last (4th) side with a rubber band that stretched straight across and hooked each one on the opposite or second side. Then when I got to the 4th side to complete removing the project, as I came to each loop, I lifted it with the plastic hook and popped each rubber band off with every loop. That kept the remaining loops in place until I got to them. No more unraveling! That should be in the instructions along with 20 or so of the correct sized rubber bands long enough to stretch across the loom, but not so heavy they pop off. Otherwise, there is no way I could see that a child could master these loops. But like I said, the thick loops make a great finished project. Another awesome option would be if they sold large packets of one color so you could buy a bunch of one color that you use in nearly every project, like white.

Not the greatest
I ordered to do with my 7 year old grand daughter. She’s bright and loves crafts. I did these 60 years ago and the loops were much better quality not stretchy and easier to work with. These are too small and snag so easily. Also the elastics were broken and to take the finishing edge off it takes 4 hands as well as theLoops keep coming off. Returning both.

Do not buy this pitholder loom set.
The loops in this set are made from a synthetic material that is too stretchy. The tension in the loops causes the !oops to pop off the loom when the user is trying to bind off the potholder. Obviously whoever decided to use these loops never had a potholder kit as a kid.

Horrible loopers
The loom itself is a standard loom, but the loopers are almost if not all nylon, which mke for somewhat easier placement in the loom, but 1. When you remove the potholder from the loom, shrinks it to an almost useless size and 2. Makes the smaller than usual potholder impossible to use as a trivet as it's nylon.I'd go for another kit .Happinest- change your loopers and then a thumbs up

Frame bends
I have used many of these kits over the years and most of them are made with a plastic frame, so when I saw the metal frame in the box with the slightly bent out pegs to help hold loops, I expected excellent results... But by the time I got to the third potholder the entire frame's sides started to bend inward. It would warp slightly while making the pot holder but then eventually the loop started slipping off because it bent so far inward on each side. Bending it back into shape before starting a new one only helped temporarily and it was back to being bent by the end of the next potholder. It could have something to do with the tightness of the loops which felt like they were just the right tightness, and I didn't like the loop fabric at first but towards the end I really loved the loops. If you're only going to make six you can make do with the quality of the hoop, but if you're going to order extra loops I would not recommend this kit for the frame.
