To get the best results, I recommend using a curl cream first, and then, use the temporary color. I also watched some YouTube videos of other people who used this product.Pros: Great color, washes out easily, great hold (I still had perfect curls 3 days after applying, before washing). The hold alone makes me want to buy other CurlSmith products, especially gel.Cons: I would wash out after 1 day, it gets very itchy on the scalp after day 2. It will bleed - I wore a bonnet at night to protect my sheets, and didn’t press my head against my couch. You scratch your head, the color will get all over your fingers. This is to be expected from temporary color, though. The pros significantly outweigh the cons. It is a fun way to try a new color and it looks great.

So I tried and loved the copper toned one! Figured I should try red since I love red. I used it on my black hair (there's very little highlights left at the bottom) and it worked well. I use it as curl gel for hold too and if I apply it again on the hair then next again (without washing it out), the color seems to pop more.Basically I use Mousse + this on wash day, then the next day I just spray some water on my hair and repeat with mousse+ this color. When I do that on the 2nd and 3rd day, the colors pop a lot more than on day 1 (I don't keep it longer than that but maybe it pops even more brightly! Lol)I find the red is a very metallic red - more like a rusty cherry red. Just a heads-up.

I've tried a couple of different temporary hair colours, and so far this has been my fave!I have very dark off-black hair, and the ruby shows more like a shimmery rose colour than a red, but it's still super pretty. I layered it with leave in conditioner and curl styling creme, and let it dry for an hour before diffusing. I also wear a bonnet/silk hair wrap before sitting long periods and leaning on something, and while I sleep.pros: really nice pigment, smells great, holds curl shape really well (tbh just a really good hair gel), doesn't transfer much once dry (just a bit of glitter on your shoulders/fingers, I wouldn't wear white though)cons: annoying to apply initially. It's more messy than some other brands, it got all over my arms and shoulders but it wipes off easily with a wet cloth. It's also sticky while damp, which feels weird.I'm giving it 4/5 just because of the messiness and the stickiness before diffusing, but I'll be definitely buying again!

I wanted to color my hair without the chemicals and this was perfect. My hair is dark brown almost black and I ordered the ruby color but in my hair it looks burgundy. I love it it gave the right amount of color and I'm very satisfied with how it looks . Will be purchasing again.

I was super excited to try this. While I loved the color I didn’t like the way it made my hair feel once it was dry. My hair felt like straw. The color did not come off on my clothing. It was easy to wash off when I got it on my hands (from applying it). It smells really nice.

The media could not be loaded. I started CGM around 6 month ago. I’m not prepared to dye yet but sometimes I want to get more redness in my hair.So I finally got this product and I love the color and smell, hold also. Easy to use, but can be a little messy.Washes off easily from any surface. Might be difficult to dye baby hair properly because it gets way too crunchy.

The color is vibrant that all I can say good about this product and I was pleased with the look. However, it transfers on to clothing even after it dries. I was very embarrassed at work when my white collar shirt turned dirty red. It's not worth the price of $20 for 3oz. I much prefer a similar temporary hair color products by "As I Am" it's less messy and you get 6oz for $8.00. l will never buy Curlsmith again.

It was easy to use & washed off of my hands easily. Pretty color & not too bold in my dark brown hair. Washed out of my hair nicely.
