KS2 English Writing Targeted Question Book - Year 3

I bought this for my son who is not a keen writer although has some great ideas when inspired! The format of the book is really clear and is split into different sections with fairly short activities for him to do. It makes it all very easy to understand and for me to know what he should be able to do at this stage. He has just finished Year 3 and I want him to be ready to start Year 4 but he didn't meet age expectations this year. Whilst he is not enthusiastic about the activities in this book he does like that they are clear and make it easy to do a task and he knows when he has done what needs doing.

Our little one was really struggling with her reading and writing. We spent a lot of time reading with her in the evenings but she wouldn’t do anything practice with us at all- tears, tantrums, the lot. As she has a workbook similar to this from school for maths we thought we’d give this a try for her writing, and it really is working. It’s much more motivating for her having the exercises to do, it’s easy enough for her to sit and go on her own, and she knows she has a set number of pages to do every week. Has been really good for her. Would definitely recommend

I am so glad I purchased this book and have been using it throughout lockdown. It is perfectly suited year three curriculum, in fact, it moves at exactly the same time as the school lead activities day. The activities are fun and well structured.

Bought as a support to Y3 children. Great to pick up and run with. Simple to use and great peace of mind knowing they’re practising skills particular to three year group.
