comprehensive
This book will take you pretty far. It covers every feature you'll ever encounter in the writing of educated Israelis and even highlights of the biblical idiom (vav consecutive, short future, object pronoun suffixes). With this book, a dictionary, and an iron will, you could dispense with the beginner textbooks and plunge right in to reading whatever interests you.

An excellent book
The examples are particularly helpful. The discussion of "registers" - the level of formality of language and so on - is also interesting and helpful. Bolotsky's 501 Hebrew verbs is of similar quality and usefulness. These books help to span the gap between studying Hebrew and really being able to use it. However, to get the most from this book, one must devote a good deal of effort.

A must have for students
Very useful, especially if wanting to look up verb conjugations. It goes over all aspects of the grammar and is good if using it as a student in university or just for personal use.

Pluses and Minuses
This book has pluses and minuses. The pluses are that a lot of the book outside of the verb section is well organized and presents things clearly. The problems with the book are that the verb section is hard to understand and the book does not have a Hebrew index so it is hard to find what you are looking for -- you need to guess under which grammatical category a Hebrew word or grammatical concept will be discussed . The verb section presents information in a convoluted and disorganized way. That is too bad since Hebrew verbs are the most difficult part of the language. Also the book uses heavy duty academic grammatical terminology so you better be familiar with that or else the book will not be very useful.

Modern Hebrew grammar
Glad to finally have a Hebrew grammar text in addition to dictionaries. Having learned a lot of Hebrew by listening, I came to understand there were grammatical points I needed to fill in.
