I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Susan Lute. Two people first find friendship in this small town then they find love. Lovely story.

A clever book with some twists and turns, and unconventional families. I loved the strong characters. A heartwarming tale with baby Rose.

THE SHERIFF'S BABY BARGAIN is a delightful standalone read with a happy ever after. No inappropriate scenes so anyone can read and enjoy. The story is set in the small town of Angel Point, Oregon - near the coast. The main characters are Taylor James, the sheriff and Gabe, the ob/gyn doctor. Yes, the lady is a sheriff. Actually she is a U.S. Marshall but she is on leave from that job due to a bust that went down wrong and her partner was killed. Her sheriff job is temporary but she is really liking it and thinks she may make it permanent.She lives in a duplex owned by the doctor. He is known as the playboy doctor, no commitments. He tells her on the first day that he does not date his tenants. She thinks he is a little full of himself and really has no interest in dating him. He is, however very handsome and in great shape but the door is open for a friendship and she could use a good friend. So they become good friends.While out jogging she passes the bus station and the manager runs out to stop her telling her they have a woman about to have a baby. She calls Dr. Gabe and he immediately gets her to the hospital in an ambulance with Taylor riding with her. It is a very young teen that is obviously in trouble. Taylor's heart goes out to her and she stays with her while Gabe delivers her little girl. Taylor is immediately connected to the child and wants to help. Taylor has a lot of issues from her own childhood.Long story short the girl puts the dr.'s name on the birth certificate and then she disappears. The hospital calls Dr. Gabe to tell him to come get the baby. You can imagine all this stirs up but he goes for the baby. This is a very good story. A town with heart and a lot of happy endings. It is a very good read and I definitely recommend it. There are a lot of issues and dramas to wade through but it makes for very good solutions to some of life's very difficult situations. The sheriff is quite a character and she makes for a good hero. A delightful read for me.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I enjoy cozy novels, be it mystery, historical or romance with unique stories and characters. I read this entire book, but felt the story lagged on. There was little to feel enthused about. It actually took the entire book to get to the point of it. It’s a nice cozy read if you don’t seek something with a little more adventure.

Gabe has leukemia ( in remission since childhood), Taylor is the temporary town Sheriff. He can commit because he has an undetermined expiration date. She sucks at dating, and asks for Gabes advice. Can they find each other along the way? Nice and sweet, with curve balls along the way.

This was largely a good read, it certainly had charming moments. The characters were interesting and the plot was solid enough. Gabe, by the end, came across as more of a prick than anything else. It seemed all he wanted to do was throw tantrums all the time.

A sweet and lovely story that really pulled at my heart strings. Gabe and Taylor help young Daisy out during labour, and look after Baby Rose for a period of time. Baby Rose helped so many hearts heal.

Again a nice little bookIt shows love 💘and being scared to show love we have to think outside the box to get a romantic ending
