furReal Friends Lulu My Cuddlin Kitty Cat

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 73-yr-old Mother after reading other rave reviews on Amazon. Painfully, Mom wasn't able to take her real cat with her when she moved into a new apartment last summer and, thus, there was an extreme void in her life.This realistic battery operated kitty has exceeded my expectations!Since we live 2,000 miles apart, I had it gift wrapped so she could put it under her Christmas tree. As soon as she took the gift out of the Amazon shipping box, the package started "crying." And periodically would make noise while under the tree. She and all her lady friends were amazed and intrigued and couldn't wait to find out what it was! (So you see, this gift started giving enjoyment even before it was opened!)I was on the phone with her Christmas Eve as she unwrapped it. She was thrilled and excited. I could hear the meows over the phone! Now, I have memories from my childhood of having a battery operated yapping dog toy. When you pulled it's leash, it would mechanically walk a few steps, then stop and yap. Even Chatty Cathy had to have her string pulled before she would say "Please brush my hair." This toy meows and purrs randomly - seemingly at it's own will - just like a REAL animal. The next day, after Mom had read the directions, we discovered that the toy has "TRY ME", "OFF", and "ON" buttons. The toy was shipped in the TRY ME position and that's why it made occasional noises under the tree. When she turned it to ON, the cat practically came to life! I could hear a purr over the phone that was so realistic it gave me chills. (I think I want one now!)Needless to say, all the lady friends adore this little white kitty, too. One even told Mom that if apartment maintenance ever showed up, they might turn her in for having a live cat!Eventually Mom had to turn kitty back to the TRY ME position - because when it was ON, it was always demanding attention... like a REAL animal! I highly, highly recommend this product if you are at all considering purchasing one. Absolutely, definitely worth the price.

To be honest, I purchased two of these types of cats... One is this one.. the "FurReal" brand and the other was a "Joy" brand... the cats looked nearly identical, however, the other brand - $25.00 cheaper was significantly better. This one sounds horribly mechanical, jerky - almost looks like the cat is having a seizure. One eye is bright and shiny, the other is dull and scratched.... In order to get the cat out of the box I had to literally destroy the box, otherwise, it would totally be going back - in a second. I'm disappointed to say the least. Even the fur was nicer on the Joy brand! The FurReal brand also did not "go to sleep" either... it was constantly moving - (I see a LOT of batteries being used). The meow sound is very odd and fake. Honestly, if you really think you need to purchase a robo pet - try the Joy brand. It was more real and smooth in movement... the meow, still fake, was sweeter... you could actually feel the purr... and it seemed to be more interactive. It's not perfect either, but a better buy and more satisfying experience.I always update my reviews if new info would be useful -however, not being able to return this was an expensive donation item - so unlikely there will be much more to report. :(

I bought this toy because I found that real cats were always so relaxing for me to look at as they put their paws up to their mouth and licked their paws to clean their face. When I found out that this toy does do that, and also cleans its' whiskers, I just had to have it. It meows very realistically and performs everything that it is supposed to do. I really like it when it pushes its' face into my hand like a real kitten would do. I am extremely satisfied with this toy kitten. The purring sound is very realistic also. I just wish that Hasbro would have made a toy kitten (with all these features) that walked around on its own. I also wish that its' paws would be able try and catch a piece of string!!!. Am I asking for too much?My blood pressure has dropped considerably since I have robotic pets which is a big plus for me!!! I do recommend this pet kitten for a very overly active adult who wants something that they could pet or even just look at to "calm" them down. This kitten would be great for children to play with also. It is very realistic. Its' eyes look like it is really thinking and looking up at you.

I purchased this for my 6yo daughter for Xmas. Instant hit! I carried it for her through the airport and received so many looks; everyone thought it was real. The TSA agent even asked to see it to show a colleague because he thought it looked so real. Only complaints are that its a bit hard (not cuddly). Also, it meows a fair amount when turned on. My daughter said it "gets a little annoying" but she still loves it.

If my 8 year old grandson could have anything it would be a kitten, but that is not possible where he lives so I got him this kitty . I have a cat that Garrett loves and has a great time playing with Horton when he visits and LULU is the same coloring as Horton! He loves it!! Before mailing it to him for Christmas I just had to play withit. I have cats of my own and even they thought it was a real cat!! It is amazing what LULU can do and how real she is. The only ting I had a bit of a problem with was locating the battery holder/ on off switch ,it is a little difficult to get to . The only thing LULU odes not need is a litter box !! If your child wants a cat but maybe has allergies or they are not permitted where you live this a great alternative. I highly recomend.It was well worth what I paid. Garrett loves it and Lulu has a great home!
