Great little knife holder!!
I was a little worried when ordering, but sooo glad that I did, it looks so very nice in my kitchen. All of my assorted sizes of knives fit well, I was able to put two of my smaller knives in the same slot. My kitchen scissors fit well, too. Love it!

Almost Perfect - I wish the shears opening was up front or on the side..
This product is ALMOST perfect. I had a large wooden knife block to hold like 3 or 4 knives and it was taking up a whole lot of space. I decided to free some space up and ordered this because it looked slick. I wasn't disappointed by the look or the footprint. It looks very nice and clean and takes up a lot less space on my counter.Knives have to be staggered when put in to account for the handles. You might not be able to use every slot depending on the size of the blade and the handle. Some of the slots are a bit loose, so the knives feel like they aren't gripped in the holder. This doesn't bother me excessively, but I could see it being annoying to some. The real issue for me is that the hole for the kitchen shears is in the back, so if you have taller knives, the shears are hidden back there. If you don't use the shears often, it may not bother you and you can't just turn it around because there is a seam all down the back (boo). This bothered me enough that I ordered a different knife holder with the shears on the side (loved that), but it was huge - so I stuck with this one.

Love love love
Super sleek and able to store 14 knives as will as kitchen shears and an ice pick. Was looking for something other than the boring wood block. Packaging was beautiful. Looks great! Matches appliances and looks fantastic on the countertop. Super pleased

Good storage and nice looking. Small footprint
Like a lot of people, I imagine, I have collected an eclectic bunch of cooking knives. I had an old wooden block from a set from many years ago and had *most* of my knives in it. That block got so old and cruddy I decided to replace it with this one. Reading the reviews I hadn’t expected it to hold a lot but at least as much as my old block.I was pleasantly surprised to find that I started transferring knives to it and got to a point where I was able to add knives that I use but had no room to store in the block to this new one. I ended up getting 12 knives of varying sizes and brands with very different handles in it. As you can see from the pictures it’s actually very useful. Whether I’ll keep all of them in their long term - I just got it- we’ll have to wait to see with use. We both cook so there are a couple of repeated in the collection but they are usually needed.Very pleased thus far

Slots Are Too Tight
I bought this for my 6 year old son's first knife set. His knives have a thicker blade which made this block impossible to use with his set.HOWEVER - I then tried putting one of my Wusthof Ikon knives into it for kicks and gritted my teeth as I heard it scraping all the way into the block.I could not use this for a child knife set (understandable and not marked down for that) and I would not use it for my expensive knife set.The block is also lightweight which was dangerous as I had to hold it still to remove the knife from it.On the plus side, it looks nice and came as described. 3 stars given as if you have an inexpensive knife set and need an inexpensive block, this will do the job and look good doing it. 2 stars off for danger factor and that the slots are too tight and will scratch the blades.
