Great Study Guide!
When I moved to TX in 1996, in order to obtain a certificate to work, I had to pass the TASS test. Since it had been many years since I had taken any math - my worst subject - I was quiet worried. After working through the math section, I was able to get a grade of 96% on my exam. This was the ONLY resource I used. Now, as a HS counselor, I give copies of this book to students who are having difficulty passing the state exit exams.

A horrible guide to a horrible program
As a college student in Texas, I have had to take this wretched test, and often worry about the status of Texas higher education because of it's presence. While learning disabled students are allowed access to other tests on campus, the TASP program has determined that the number of disability testing sites should be so small to make travel difficult. To date, the primary sites are in Austin and Houston---I felt somewhat fortunate because I lived in the latter during the summers and holiday breaks, but enough is enough.A glance inside this book will tell you that the myriad rules and regulations governing this program are enough to make your head spin (and possibly implode). Sure, it sounds impressive on paper, but the program is a bureaucratic nightmare for disabled students who can be shuffled from one step to another without few good explainations about what is actually going on.Even now, I shudder when I remember how much time and energy I spent on trying to solve a test that was not even remotely designed to measure what I had learned from years of special education classes. It appeared the majority of adminstrators were parroting the virtues of this program without actually thinking about how it would work in real life.

Used but not in good condition
I like the practices in the study guide, but I have been afraid to handle the book without gloves on.

EXCELLENT STUDY GUIDE
I recenlty took the TASP Test for the second time and I passed the test. I borrowed this book from a friend and study about 2 weeks on the reading and writing sections. This is a very good book and it has exactly everything that is on the test in the book. If you buy the book and study through it you will have no problem passing the test. Thanks a million
